Desert Oasis 💖
We loved Carlita's. We only planned to stay a night or two on our way through the area and we ended up staying for two weeks. Bill and Carla were so welcoming and gracious hosts. They put lots of care into the property, landscaping and other little touches that make the space feel like a sanctuary. And on top of all that, the pool was a lovely respite from the mid afternoon heat.

Solid spot for a stopover if you’ve been out awhile. Laundry, shower, and nice hosts. We used it as a spot to run into la Paz to get some provisions, then bounced the next day. Would suggest.

Loved it here! Called ahead for reservation. Very friendly! Great people in camp, great outdoor living area with small pool, plants and bird cages too…dreamy place. $300/night. Newer and clean laundry facility $100 pesos per load and shower! It was very tricky tho park our 26’ trailer and large 2500 Ram truck but we did it. Pet friendly. Secure gate.

This is a great place. Bill runs things here and his humor is contagious. As soon as I pulled in I asked him if his name was ""Carlita"" and instead of getting mad we all cracked up, the rest of the stay was pretty much like that. Access to La Paz from here is easy and El Centenario has its own thing going on too. It's a neighborhood that's going through its own growth and as such you may have very distinct views depending on which street you're on, from very humble properties to brand new expensive houses. There are also plenty of shops around, the majority not listed on Google Maps. I saw places to get water, hardware stores, laundry, a hairdresser, mechanics, small grocery shops, an ice factory and even restaurants, etc. Ask Bill if you do not see something in Maps.

Carlita's Casitas has about 6 RV spots with nice wide garden spaces in between, tables, chairs, a common area, bathroom, hot shower, laundry, and rooms for rent. The vibe is relaxed and plain great. We arrived here from checking Campestre Maranatha, a place that people recommend but that we honestly felt weird about, huge with too many people, and a crowd that is very ready to just stare at you as you arrive (US/Canada ""park your RV for months"" crowd). At Carlita's we felt it was more of a diverse overlanding/adventure crowd, and while much smaller, also way less packed. Not sure this vibe is a goal for this place, but we appreciate this is what it is at this moment.

For solar panel South exposure you may be better on the left spots as you enter if you prefer to back in. Or you can just go nose first on the spots on the right. There is LTE in the area, good enough for communications and browsing, but in general towers are on the oversubscribed side all around so you won't be able to get a remote working level connection. High pings for Zoom meetings, etc.

Starlink worked well for us, but we had some view obstructions. Since Starlink sometimes doesn't care much about small obstructions and sometimes it creates outages, you'll have to test and try some locations for the best experience. It worked quite well for us and despite some obstructions, we did not see outages.

We had no issues using Whatsapp for communication with Bill before we arrived. We truly recommend Carlita's Casitas, and we are sure it will become a very popular place in the future.

Bill and Carla are good people, and go out of their way to make you feel at home! The grounds are well kept and safe. Good for Van's and small trailers. Good WiFi in the common area near the pool, water and septic hook ups. No power, but they allow generators during the day if needed.

Great spot !! Lovely property. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an oasis away from La Paz but would like to be somewhat near the city. Not many spots as others have stated but if you can get one it worth it ! Shower, bathroom, no power. Fast wifi near the pool area.

What a beautiful gem of an RV Park on the Baja Sur Peninsula just minutes north of La Paz! Carlita & Bill's recently opened Villas and RV Park is a gem! A solid 10/10 for attention to detail, and they have not yet even finished their project! Beautiful and natural landscaping, along with well spaced RV spots, not yet seen by us in Mexico. City water and sewer hookups available for 300 pesos a night. The 3 villas on site are gorgeous and fully equiped. There are bathrooms and showers available, and laundry facilities as well, for 100 pesos a load. A swimming pool and poolside lounging area with birds in cages adds to the charm. Carla is a lovely bilingual Mexican, and Bill, her ex-pat Canadian husband, are both kind and welcoming. We will surely stay here again on our return back north.

Obvious that owner Bill takes great pride in this park he's owned for a year. Gated. 6 gravel spots. New landscaping and some mature trees and cacti. Nice bathroom and shower. Laundry. No electric. Bill was very helpful with recommendations and directions. Will be our go to when in La Paz area.
