A great spot just off the road. 2 vans or 3 cars (if you’re all friends) could fit here, another pullout just across the road. Made it no problem with my low clearance 2WD, might not be as easy if muddy. Fire ring, trails back into the forest. Elk killing ground just beyond the site, bones everywhere. Beautiful views of Yellowstone, very quiet.

Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There are many sites along this road. We stayed at two of them both beautiful. Keep in mind this area is used as target practice. At the two sites we visited there were bullet casings and at one near us there were people shooting into the rock. They stopped shortly after we arrived. Felt safe the whole time. Would stay again.
Report Check-InDispersed camping sites along the road. Stay to the designated spots, and respect the area.
The spot I camped near the end on the right side of the road was also a spot that locals used for sighting in their rifles for hunting season. Lots of room at this spot for a bigger trailer or RV and you could easily fit 2. Rock fire pit there. Locals were friendly and helpful and if you are there in late October there will be lots of traffic because of hunting season.
Report Check-Ingreat spot, close to entrance Yellowstone. Road a bit bumpy, but definitely doable! We stayed 2 nights in a row here during our Yellowstone days.
Report Check-InRoad is very bumpy but made it in 2WD van. Campsite is nicely level. Nice view
