We contacted the owner on Whatsapp who told us it was 8000 per person to camp. The price seems to change from one review to the next. As it was raining the owner offered us a room at the same price: so 16,000 for 2. But when we arrived the room was actually a very small room that looked like a cellar with a mattress for 2 in the corner. And the bathroom is outside. So we decided to leave because there are cheaper options in town for better options.
Report Check-InFantastic little site up on the hills. First night we arrived after a long drive we joined them for a braai. Also, as we were having perpetual car problems they were superb in helping us out by getting their mechanic to come on site and replace our clutch and rear suspension.
We went to their restaurants a few times whilst our car was being worked on which was also a nice treat.
Would definitely recommend staying over there. Duran is a superb host.
This place is called Residence Café do Monte and belongs to Hermann (Tel. +244 927 661 951). If Hermann does not pick up his phone you can also call Mr. Duran. We met them at their Café, next to the Shoprite in town. Because it was a weekend and they had a life band in the eavening, we decided to stay at their campground. The price is 4‘320 KW per person per night (= around 5 €, not 10 €!)
Report Check-Inquiet and secure. large lapa for when it rains. camping is on a big lawn. see photo for gate access, as there are no signs. owner was very quick to communicate.
Report Check-InWe did not went to this place but we contacted the owner to know the price and the facilities. The price it's 10$ per person with a car. (20$ fort two).
There is toilets, hot shower, a place too wash closes, braaï and internet.
Was too expensive for a camping and for the same price we can have a room in the city so we declined.
