Rather run down ablutions, people passing through all the time as it's a short cut, vendors trying to do business, no privacy at all. In the morning the dive boats pass through as well. Didn't stay.
Report Check-InA bit rundown campsite next to the main beach of Ponta.
Be aware of your values. Over the Easter weekend things got stolen from various campers.
Different prices for beachview or main area. The private Campsites are more expensive but in my opinion somehow terrible 😬
They do offer specials like pay Three nights stay for four nights or pay five nights stay for seven nights or pay seven night stay for ten nights.

Report Check-InIt is a very basic campsite but everything we needed for what we paid for (88rand pppn). water was clear, we didn't have problems showering with orange water, it was a good hot shower. the only downside which bothered us a lot are actually the guys who always try to sell you stuff and they won't go away. other than that it was nice and there was no good wildcamping spot so it was fine.
Report Check-InRight on the beach awesome spot. Lots of foot traffic but that is part of Mozambique.
Report Check-InGorgeous beach and clean on our visit. Water deep blue. Nice camp. Diving boats no longer launched from here but further down. Site #7 ZAR150pppn. (Others further away cost less.) This site is nicely protected from the wind in a RTT but still close to beach. Thought it might be noisy on a Saturday night, but pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed walk along the beach at sunrise.
Report Check-InNot many reviews for this campsite, so it's time for a new one. We didn't liked this place...
It's still a grassy compound, all numbered and surrounded with red/white tape (looks not nice).
You get a key for the ablution block, after giving a deposit of 500 MTZ. They clean it every day, but the water you can not use it. It's so rusty, if you take a shower here you will turn orange.
The people who are staying here use the shower from the dive shop next door. Also the beachboys use this compound to enter the beach. So even on your camp the try to sell you stuff.
The prices are still the same like said before. You really pay to much.
Grassy campsites next to the beach. Very basic and a bit run down, not always warm water. Cheapest spots are R70 pp without electricity, there's spots for a R100 pp and right next to the beach you pay R150 pp.
Very noisy place due to cars driving up and down all day through the camp as it is the starting point for doing dives (starting early!). Lots of day visitors for the beach as well
