Beautiful free spot! Although, extremely windy. No one came around to collect any money, it’s just for trash collection if you want it. TONS OF COYOTES, so watch your pets closely and don’t leave outside!!! I was woken up by them scraping themselves alongside my van & rack. The sunrise here was beautiful but enjoying the beach was difficult due to the wind. All size rigs will be fine here, even saw some big class A’s. I have a 2wd van and was able to get in no problem and parked all the way around the bay!

Report Check-In

Nice pebble beach with good hiking around. Probably about 30 people here when we got here. Bathrooms were pretty gross and no water in the big red bucket to flush

Report Check-In

Report Check-In

Nice area. We stayed to the left and went all the way back to the ocean.

Report Check-In

Just add, there’s a toilet at the beginning of the site.

Report Check-In

As previously described.. there a toilet before the entrance that can be used

Report Check-In

Angelina came around to collect a $100 donation for trash collection and care of the beach. She said there are toilets at the little cove, use the water in the red barrel to flush them. She also warned that coyotes will chew on water containers left out and will get into any type of food or trash.

Report Check-In

Beautiful campsite right on the beach! Plenty of room between each rig. No payment was required nor was I approached by anyone seeking payment. I did notice a coyote roaming around so I would recommend keeping pets leashed.

Report Check-In

Additional: The caretaker's wife was wearing an official BLA t-shirt while she was collecting the trash. She was friendly and provided us with some great local info.

Report Check-In

We met the caretaker of the property's wife. She was collecting trash for him today since he was on vacation. She is the Medical Doctor for BLA. She did not ask for any money but we gave her a donation for the community effort to keep La Gringa beach clean.

Report Check-In

Very good place with a good view and possibility to swim in the water ! we will go back

Report Check-In

Had a wonderful stay here. No issues, beautiful, plenty of other campers spaced comfortably. We felt very safe.

Report Check-In

Nice pebble beach. Good snorkeling by the rocks or out at the islands if you have a boat. Windy one day, calm the next. No one collected fees. Will definitely be back.

Report Check-In

We spent two quiet nights at La Gringa and can absolutely recommend it. It can get a bit windy but the location is awesome. Occasionally a woman comes by and collects trash for a donation. There is no signal here.

Report Check-In

On December 22nd, 2023, at least 2 male people with a pickup tried to steal fishing accessories and the engine from our neighbors between 3 and 4 a.m. from the boat. the engine was well secured that's why they tried to steal the whole boat. Note, great place but don't leave your things unintentionally

Report Check-In

The “official” campground is closed and boondocking is now free. Fabulous views! Great bay to play on the water (kayak, paddle board). We stayed for four nights right at the beginning of our trip in Baha.

Report Check-In

Great location for our 2WD 24 feet camper. Right on the beach. We stayed three days to sail our Tiwal inflatable sailboat.

Report Check-In

No one asked for money when I was there. It is free.

Road is ok in 2wd, some clearance still recommended.

We loved the place. So peace and quiet with lots of birds flying around getting their fish. Water is clear and not that cold.
Can get pretty windy since the area is really open.

We might come back on our way back to the US !

Report Check-In

We will return
This was our 2nd time camping at this location

BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES
The road in from the highway as well as the road to La Gringa had received recent hurricane damage. Although road crews have gotten both roads to a point where any vehicle of any kind has no challenges.

LA GRINGA
Beach Front Boondocking Location
Free

A spit of land surrounded on three sides by water. Large rounded rock makes up the beach with compacted ground driving in/out

There are more beach front spaces than demand and therefore you are guaranteed a beautiful view upon arrival.

Be aware that high tides in correlation with full moon will bring the water up and very close to your vehicle... although nothing to worry about as the ground itself is solid....

PAYMENT
We camped without payment.
Nobody came around our vehicles requesting payment for our stay.

We were approached by a man driving a white pick-up truck wearing an orange vest claiming to be the camp host for payment and..... we were also approached by two young ladies, claiming to be from Bahia de Los Angeles...asking for donation for keeping La Gringa clean.

Interestingly.. using Google translate... the host claimed he was allowed to collect monies.. although we declined. Further the girls from town claimed there is no official camp host and that there is no fee to camp. They only ask for donation for what they do in keeping the area clean.

AMENITIES
We found Camp Archelon (you will drive past coming to La Gringa) was a very nice experience... with clean bathrooms, hot showers, a great restaurant and a nightly sushi on the beach set-up. Antonio and his staff were excellent and VERY accommodating should you need something further in regards to camping.

DUMP
There is a dump for $10US at Daggits... another camping location after Camp Archelon... on your way down the road to La Gringa. Due to reviews and then our own on-site visit, we were grateful that we chose to stay at Camp Archelon after our La Gringa stay

WATER
In town there is La Mission where 200L /50G is about $7US. We did not utilise this location although we did drive by it and witness a truck camper out front with a hose going within.

OVERALL
We would have to say this location exceeded our expectations as there were a few things mentioned within the reviews that we ourselves had not experienced.

We had not experienced the winds that many mention
We had no problems with near-by campers or locals and the noise that can be associated
We saw the coyotes, although never at a close distance
We DID see the local police, during the nighttime, drive through with lights on
We DID have exceptional water clarity for our snorkelling (fish, turtle, stingrays)

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach, great fishing, orca and whale sightings. Several different people came by to collect money. Even though they say they are official, don’t know what is real. They wanted 100 pesos a day per vehicle and said they collect the trash. We bargained down to 100 pesos a day total for our 6 vehicle caravan, but they never came back to get trash another day. Other people came by and tried to get money. It might be a local scam.

But still a fantastic place and it is very clean.

WE WILL RETURN TO THIS LOCATION

BAHIA DE LOS ANGELES
Located around 5 hrs S of our first stop in San Felipe and about 6 hrs N of our next stop in Bahia Concepcion... just past Meluge. Be sure to have a full tank of gas before embarking on this next stop from San Felipe. There was NO diesel to be found on the highway until we actually arrive to Bahia de los Angeles with less than a 1/4 tank. Here we found the first of two Pemax to be closed.. the second having the low sulphur diesel we needed. The road in from the highway as well as the road to La Gringa had received recent hurricane damage. Although road crews have gotten both roads to a point where any vehicle of any kind has no challenges.

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach! No cell service. Road a bit rough because of the last hurricane, but very passable with any type vehicle . Sorry no pixels. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE.

Report Check-In

Very chill. Beautiful spot. A little dicey for a 2WD Sprinter but made it ok

Report Check-In

Great spot to stay while in Bahia de LA. Did not have to pay. Popular spot for camping but never too crowded. Pebbly beach. Incredibly clear water. One downside is the ‘toilets’ are out of commission, don’t even attempt. Because we didn’t bring our own, and there were lots of folks on the beach, we had to take a short hike into the hills to go to the bathroom. Do-able, but not ideal. The second night we camped on the eastern side and had a quite beach to ourselves. Water is still and beautiful. Bring your snorkeling gear! Did get attacked by some horse flies in case you want to bring fly tape.

Report Check-In

Very nice. Rocky beach. Can be very windy.

Report Check-In

nice breezy evening. easy access no 4x4 required. Nice to have though if you want to drive on the beach.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night on the gravel bar. Lovely beach, no trash. No one collected a fee. A few other campers around. Felt safe, no hidden place to toilet.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place!!! Free!!! Be aware of the wind as it will sneak up on you!!! I highly recommend you keep your awning in at all times.

Report Check-In

We had a quiet night camping on the beach. Others were fishing. We walked and watched birds. Osprey and Great Blue Heron here. Heard coyotes crying in the night.

Report Check-In

Exactly like others have described it. Beautiful view. Be, careful about the stingray. Coyotes howl at night and it can be quiet windy. I had no problem with my Alu Cab roof top tent.
If you are interested in fishing get some clams where the small water channel is entering the bay. you can dug some in. one guy was using that as a lure and catching lot of small fish.
You can also hike to the point around there.

Report Check-In

We planned to stay for one day but ended up staying for three! Beautiful and super safe.

We went to the office but it was closed and no one ever came to collect payment. Awesome spot for exploring down the beach and on low tides you can get clams! We were there on a super low tide and saw a ton of octopus in their dens/caves. Look for holes in the rock y areas during low tide. Super cool!

It’s a preserve area with lots of wildlife and birds. We had our mtb bikes and explored the backroads by the water. Lots of places to explore. Truly one of our favorite spots so far.

Report Check-In

Great place as said. paid 100 pesos for 3 days. We did a couple of snorkels, can verify the bay is littered with rays.
The best place to snorkel is on the right hand side rocky point, it's like a little akvarium down at the point. Just before sunset we also saw dolphins at the point every day.
we heard the coyote every day.

Report Check-In

Beautiful place. Quiet pebble beach, nice to swim and fish.
So many places for all size Rigs.
We stayed 2 nights and payed 100mxn for garbage collected.

Report Check-In

This is our second stop here in as many years. it's a great peaceful place. It's a pebble beach and there are many sting rays so be careful, make sure you drag your feet. You will see an abandoned private residence with garbage bins out front. please do NOT put your garbage in them!!! The bins are usually overflowing and the dogs, birds and coyotes hey into it and spread the garbage everywhere! There are a husband and wife that come around asking for donations and they keep the beach clean and take your garbage BUT there is also a garbage dump "basureo" near by. Good back towards town, once you hit the pavement travel exactly 2.7 km on the right. We fixed the sign so it is now upright for everyone to see. Just follow the road and the signs. Please use the dump, there are enough garbage issues here without us adding to it. Let's all be respectful and do our part!

Report Check-In

Very popular with the gringas (and the gringos) lol. At least 25 rigs parked, with a heavy emphasis on European plated vehicles - including a European city bus converted! Super clear water, great fishing, though lots of folks brought their own boats to land the bigger sport fish. Get out on the water early to dodge El Norte, which was blowing 10-18 while we were there. Those same strong winds in LA Bay (apparently a local ex-pat name for the area) are also fun for wind sports enthusiasts. We didn’t pay anything, though, some people report a $100pesos/night trash pickup fee

Report Check-In

Beautiful quiet & clean pebble beach camping. 100MX paid daily & garbage collected by same “management “

Report Check-In

Great beach, spent 10 nights in various spots and loved it all. Coyotes come around each night and morning, so watch your animals. Please cleanup your poopy toilet paper, it is everywhere and ridiculous because they come around every day to take your trash bags to town…

Report Check-In

COYOTE WARNING
We’ve camped at La Gringa multiple times in the past but last night was the first time we had a coyote close encounter. The coyote snuck on us in the dark and attempted to get in our Sprinter van where our 60lbs Labrador was sleeping. Seems like the coyotes will go after bigger dogs too.

On another note, a guy came to collect a “donation fee” of a 100 pesos (for the clean /no garbage beach)

Report Check-In

Windy, empty and gorgeous. Love it. Just what I need after so many busy campgrounds.
When you drive past Campo archelon, stay on the paved until the end. Don't turn right at the tire/sign but keep going. Watch for thick loose gravel, friends got stuck even with 4x4 truck. Coyotes out here too.

Report Check-In

There's now a man who comes around and collects 100 pesos and picks up your garbage. Pet owners beware, saw numerous coyotes patrolling the area day and night, some within a few metres of our rig. The gravel portion of the road was in ok condition, towed a travel trailer in with no problem, just had to drive slowly.

Report Check-In

I’ll keep it simple because there’s so many reviews. If you are a wild camper you’ll not enjoy this place. Crowded even in off season with elderly. We prefer to be alone and beach’s in Bay of LA aren’t that great for our taste. Didn’t stay. Instead got a hotel camping spot for the internet and left the same day for pacific side. Safe travels all!

Report Check-In

Gorgeous views of Sea of Cortez! Spectacular! No amenities, be prepared!

We spend 3 night here. it's a paradise ! awsome view and very peacefull place.
locals come for fishing during the day. nobody ask for money. lots of rigs during the night but enough space for everyone. a lot of wind during the day, nothing at night. Some sandy spots, don't stay stuck. Not any facilities.

Report Check-In

Amazing beach! Quiet, safe and Free!! clear water to do SUP, kayak, snorkeling. You can see dolphins!!
Perfect for bit rigs, lots of space. Not signal cell.

Report Check-In

Camped just right before La Gringa on the sandy beach. beautiful location. Pulled out a stuck Kia in the sand. Would definitely recommend this location. No Flies :)

Report Check-In

amazing beach camping. Nobody showed up so we didn't pay anything. Multiple vehicles got stuck in the sand (with 4wd), don't drive the sand unless you know what you are doing. There are more hard roads going to the different spots if you go behind the gate instead of on the beach.

Spent a day fishing with Bob and his wife (if you read this, you guys are amazing!). Caught some barracuda, yellowtail and bass. Fish dishes and beach life, can't beat this.

Report Check-In

Fantastic spot, just in front of the beach. You can choose between sandy Beach and stones Beach. Fire places availables, we stopped at the GPS point, but some others campers continues the road. We sow so many birds, and a lot of fish snorkeling. Quite relaxing place! No problems for a 2wd van to came here!

Report Check-In

nice place. No vimos la luminiscencia. Nos quedamos 2 noches es muy tranquilo y seguro. Unas personas pasan a pedir colaboración para limpiar las playas, pero es opcional.

Report Check-In

Stayed 4 days without anyone ask us anything. Beautiful beach, we saw some dolphin and lots of birds. Some winds but not too much at this time of year. Few locals on daylight. No amenities

Report Check-In

Beautiful. Amazing water. Flat and easy to access this spot. However, PLEASE take your trash with you. Also, PLEASE burn your TP … stuff is everywhere. Very sad that the terrain is being destroyed by inconsiderate folks when using the dig and cover method.
Town is nearby with several convenience stores, two gas stations and a couple of restaurants.
Really special place!

Report Check-In

Easy access for all vehicles, flat and beautiful! Beware of sudden change of the road from concrete to dirt on the two orange pillars next to the road, make sure you won’t smash your car. I read before that fee was optional but they made us pay it, we managed to negotiate $100 pesos for our 3 vans in one price as we were staying 10-12 days, in some point they just stopped charging. NOTICE: There won’t be any phone reception or gas station for hours before arriving to this place so be prepared. Supermarket LA ISLA in town sells the fastest internet we found in hotspot $20 pesos the hour.

Beautiful and magical spot as they all mention! We saw lots of beautiful animals and make sure to swim on he night if it’s cloudy, luminescent magic here!

Report Check-In

Gorgeous scenic remote beach camping. No amenities, no cell coverage. Good grades dirt road access.

Report Check-In

Gorgeous beach that is clean, quiet, and very serene. We had a lovely sunset over the mountains, and a stunning sunrise this morning. It got a little windy around dusk but the wind died down as it got dark and we had a very calm night and no wind and glassy water this morning. Only one other camper at the opposite end of the beach. A few locals came and went but other than that it was just us and the nature. Nice paved road almost all the way in and then a well maintained dirt road for the final part, we saw a few small 2 wheel drive that were there for sunset. The sand does get deep and soft around the dunes, but no problem for our 4wheel drive truck. Great place for snorkeling and kayaking. Definitely will come back again.

Report Check-In

Perfecto lugar, seguro y tranquilo. Pasamos 2 noches aquí. No tuvimos que pagar nada. Y hemos lugar

Report Check-In

as describe the tackular beauty. we were the only ones who can't on the entire stretch. A couple locals drove up during the day. But be aware it can be windy, windy, windy! We were planning on staying two nights and ended up staying one.

Report Check-In

Absolutely beautiful location. Windy pre dusk hours only. Dove for shells and to check rays so I could throw the ball for the Labrador in water without issues. Only saw one. Overlander tour out on spit, and few others scattered. I was solo on beach 100 yards before the hill but after the white tires. Best spotto camp so far heading south. Free and worth the drive. No cell

Report Check-In

We loved this place. We stayed on the beach to the right before the white tire entrance. The second day got crazy windy so we left but we enjoyed the beach, the clear water, and the dolphin pods in the morning. Spoke to a guy who stays months at a time and he said its all open to free camp, locals stuck to the beach in the federal park side. A couple from Bahia de Los Angeles came by to chat about collecing money for trash collection. According to them, she was the town Doctor and her husband was unpayed but employed by the owners of La Gringa (not fed park part) and he was authorized to collect $100 pesos to collect garbage as a 'donation only,' not required. She mentioned they take the garbage and sort it for recycling etc. We paid it just to see and sure enough they came and collected a bag the next day. The told us there are cans in the federal side they empty as well. They also picked trash along the beach which was obvious, not perfect, but cleaner than a lot of spots. Highly recommended!

Report Check-In

The "La Gringa Propiedad" signs are on the wrong side of the fence along the beach front giving SOME the impression its private ...the white tyre gate is actually you leaving to enter the Federal Reserve Land which is free to park/ camp or enter ...Biggest scam in Baja "best things in life are free" toilets are washed away and Basura was left by locals. The free view is free.

Report Check-In

A peaceful rocky beach with a lots of places to park. It was a beautiful bay surrounded with mountains in the far. The 1st night the tide came up so high that it covered the ground right behind where we parked and it was awesome. It was gorgeous and it happened at sunset with all sorts of beautiful colors and birds diving in the water like National Geographic:-). The neighbors were friendly and the stars were even better at night.

Report Check-In

Second time. First in December. Was free. Now they ask 100 pesos per night. They keep the beach clean, pick up the trash, keep it safe .... goof deal. It’s a beautiful beach, great panorama, fishing, hiking, kayak. Definitely a place to relax

Report Check-In

Weather was perfect, no wind. Stayed for several days. No one came to collect a camping fee. No trash barrels this time. Great hiking up the hills at the end of the spit. Locals told us about an old mine to the north which we tried to find on mtn bikes but couldn't find it.

Report Check-In

Great spot, quiet & beautiful- free
The beach is spotless

Report Check-In

Entered La Gringa past the white tires and down to the very end before the blockage for vehicles. Had a bunch of cars around us on the far end when we got there in the afternoon, but they left before dusk. This pebble beach is beautiful, starfish along the waterline, lots of pelicans and egrets. The sun is especially bright against the water in the afternoon. It’s a sanctuary for the slough, birds and turtles, but you’re allowed to camp here... strange but wonderful. Nobody bothered us. Some night fishermen walked by a few times. Nobody collected fees the next day. The water DID get within a few feet of where we parked on the highest part of the pebbles, but was fine. Beautiful sunrise. Also: many dolphins!

Report Check-In

The location is a long strip of pebble beach and is rugged and stunningly beautiful. It’s free of charge and It looks like this used to be an organized beach with a few small dilapidated huts and toilets - now derelict. There are no facilities here so bring all you’ll need. We camped on Boxing Day (Dec 26th) and it was warm in the day with very strong winds at night - so be prepared to secure everything. Also a must-visit is China’s Place Taqueria in town - amazing tacos!

Report Check-In

Nice rocky beach! With a lot of fish, starfish, and fluorescent plankton in the night. Recommend

Report Check-In

We stayed 3 nights there. Sometimes terrible winds, some times none. Lots of fishs. Really nice.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night right in the beach. No amenities. Nobody came to collect a fee. Beautiful spot turquoise water lots of people swimming. We did however get stung by a ray and they were plentiful, so be careful!

Report Check-In

they have some nee people now, a girl and a guy and they come to pick up the trash and such and but are charging 100 pesos per night. still a very beautiful place with good fishing and snorkeling.

Report Check-In

We stayed on the south side of La Gringa and the gravel bar, right on a nice sandy beach. Great place to stay the night. Good snorkeling and lots of sea birds to watch. Gets very windy in the afternoon.

Report Check-In

Still one of the best free or cheap spots to stay on the bay. A guy named Herman, New to the area from L.A. Calif, said he's now taken over keeping an eye on things. He claimed they'd like to get 25 Pesos for camping but he didn't collect from anybody. We would have paid it just to have a place to dump our trash (there's a couple cans). Unfortunately still no toilets so everybody just goes in the few bushes beside the road, leaving their paper to blow everywhere.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot! We stayed only one night. We had two Skoolie’s and a Jeep with us and made it down the dirt road just fine. Some spots are bumpy but you just have to take it slow. Lots of other vans and Rvs there. Ocean is very calm and it is really clear water. I also found so many seashells and and starfish on the beach! Felt very safe.

Report Check-In

The fence across this area reported below has been torn down / knocked over.
Rough corrogated road in but still suitable for large rigs. Spent one night here. A few other campers around. Very safe and quiet.

Report Check-In

Great site, plenty of room but can be windy. No one asked me for money. Primitive but clean for the most part. Good walks in the back bays, lots of stuff washed ashore.

Report Check-In

I really liked this beautiful and quiet beach. Felt very safe. The caretaker collected the trash bins at dusk and asked me for $25 MX. Wish they were all this nice!

Report Check-In

I always camped out at the point, just north of the gravel bar, but this year there's a new fence running right through the middle of the old camping area and cutting off the beach.

Camped on the big gravel bar and forgot it was full moon, woke up at 2 a.m. with water up to my tires, only the middle few feet of the gravel bar was out of the water, pretty scary way to wake up in the middle of the night! Never saw tides that high before, guess it's good to check before camping out on the bar.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, never had much luck fishing there, good free spot to camp for a night or two on your way. I've never been approached for money, but would gladly pay the 25 pesos to keep up trash pickup.

Report Check-In

Nice and beautiful place direkt at the see. Fish, Austers an Shrimps we found near the Rocks at the fare End. Sometimes you Pay 50 Pesos a day for put trash Away. Sone primitive toilet. Very nice View and quiet.

Spent three nights in this super beach. Very clean place. 2 or 3 other vans or camper there.
The view is amazing, the water very clear. Can be quite windy . The dirt road to get ther is accessible with a 2x wheel camper.
Would recommend this place. Coyotes at night !!!

Camping on the gravel La Gringa Beach north of Bahia de Los Angeles. The last 3 km are a bumpy dirt road but fine with 2 WD. Nice view over the bay and to the surrounding mountains and islands. Great sunset. No fee, no amenities.

Report Check-In

Drove up to La Gringa where the white tires are. Was told that it was 25 pesos per day/night....not just for trash pickup. View was nice but stayed at La Playa on S of town for free with great views too...just a little trash.

Report Check-In

Beautiful location at end of inlet. Pebble beaches and lots of birds. Can get very windy, tends to taper off in late afternoon. Cool treasures on the beach.

Report Check-In

still just as nice as 9 months ago in March. water was warmer, pit toilets are gone and some new fences on the North side of the property to keep OHVs and jeeps from creating paths everywhere. we saw dolphins and sea lions and coyotes. still free and no one asked for money for trash in 2 days.

Report Check-In

La Gringa beach, just north of Bahia De Las Angeles is a stunning, tranquil beach and a safe place to park for the night. The town isn't touristy, although there are a few restaurants and hotels. You can get gas here, too. The Bay is surrounded by mountains and has several large, mountainous islands just off the coast. The road out to the beach is mostly paved, except for the last stretch of about 3 kms (or more if you drive all the way to the end of the beach). When we were there it was not windy and the sun peekedout from behind the clouds around noon. Lots of wildlife! You can fish for small halibut and you will see pelicans, herons, and maybe even dolphins. The water is about waist/chest deep for about 300 ft out, and you can snorkel here too. The pebble Beach makes for clear waters! Stunning!

Report Check-In

super nice spot directly at the beach. if you don't have a toilet in your van, you gotta have to get creative. apart from that, nice.

Report Check-In

Nice on the bay, spent a night here with a few other parties. Music at night from the house at the end of the beach. Very windy during the day but died down after sunset. Dolphins and lots of birds... No fee.

Report Check-In

very nice spot surround by ocean, full of wildlife.
we met many traveller and nice local fishrmen.

somebody ask for 25 pesos one time of the 3 day (for taking the trash)

can be very windy! (like all location arround)

Report Check-In

Really nice place full of wildlife. Not clear if free or not. Seems like one side of the road is federal and the other is private. Clarify with the owner if necessary. Speaking Spanish will help.

Report Check-In

Just woke up by militar people saying that this place is protected. No camping here. No nice experience.

Report Check-In

We stayed here in our van, didn’t pay anything as there was no one collecting rubbish... also no bins around which sucks. A really beautiful spot where you can see the ocean alive in front of you - flying sting rays, sea lions, huge turtles, pelicans and star fish on the shore line! Can be windy but mostly wasn’t when we were there. About 5-6 groups camping each day. Very peaceful I wish people would avoid playing music so others can enjoy the serenity! Also climb up the mountain with the cross on the top :)

Report Check-In

We spent a nice week on La Gringa beach. It gets little busy on Fridays and local fishermen come and go all the time. Sunday we had the beach to ourselves. On the last morning we saw lots of dolphins hunting for fish in the bay. It was one of the cleanest beaches we saw so far. We talked with some locals and they wish the beach will stay their little secret - unspoiled and calm. So please be considerate of the environment. Local guy picks up the garbage from barrels and around the beach, he asked for 25MEX only once, not daily as his English sign said.

we stayed 3 nights here and net some great people who came and went. with Easter weekend coming it was getting too busy (anf noisy)so we went North for some solitude at Campo Coronado. great place for free though when the winds are not blowing.

Report Check-In

A clean and tidy beach with good views. Was windy when we were there though. Hiked up the top of hill at east end of beach. Access road is dirt but doable for any car. A great free camping option!

Report Check-In

Great spot! Right on the pebble beach with plenty of room and clean. Road in is dirt however not too rough.

Amazing camp spot. Free, clean, crystal clear water. We stayed there 3 nights with out skoolie. Friendly people, good fishing and snorkelling. What else can you ask for?!

Report Check-In

realy great place, stayed there 5 nights!

Report Check-In

Free! Parking in the rockie beach. Great views, good for swimming. Windy , but not all day.

Report Check-In

Great free parking, right next to the water. First day was great, no wind at all. Second day not so much - could barely go outside. Felt really safe, plenty of other rigs there too! Road is a bit rough but made it OK with our low clearance 2wd RV! Make sure to park away from the beach, water really comes up at night with the high tide!

Perfect place, you can hear and see many kind of birds and some fishermen ! There is pit toilet and trash can. No need 4x4 !!!! Better to sleep up hill to avoid water :-)

Report Check-In

Great place to stay for free! Clean and quiet beach, amazing views and wild life.

Nice stay in this spot for 2 days. Beware of thirsty bees, we had an attack the second day and move to pebble Beach. Better place.

beautifull amazing free place here

Report Check-In

Beautiful. Toilet was not clean at all.
You better camp on top where the trash bins are, because the water comes up at night. One guy camped down where you can drive and there was water inside the van (Computer and other stuff was broken).

Report Check-In

Just like everyone else said- beautiful, tons of wildlife, and even a decent pit toilet.

Also windy. Our first day was paradise, but the second had most everyone up and down the beach holed up in our rigs. There is plenty of camping further up the road if you're not feeling social, but it didn't seem to offer any protection from the wind, despite being behind the hills.

Nice place, spent a week here. I caught a bunch of fish on a rod , others did spearfishing & the Mexicans we hung out with caught octopus at night with flashlights. The snorkeling is good if you go a bit east to the other bay. Nice place. don't drive on the beach, we had to help one meathead along with the military hummer get his 2WD van out.

Beatiful. Very nice caretaker. We were up on the pebble beach. No 4x4 needed. If you want to go on sand just let enough air out of your tires. Bring firewood. No trees for miles. Clear water. Saw flying stingrays, seals and lot of birds. Bring a fishing rod!

Report Check-In

Absolutely stunning. Free. Trash service available. Oysters in the bay for breakfast lunch and dinner! Stayed five days until fried from all the sunshine. Awesome spot. Dry desert.

Report Check-In

Beautiful FREE beach with pit toilets and garbage bins. Think twice if its too windy. We wanted to stay more but couldnt stand the strong winds. About 10 kms from the village. The last 2 km is rough off road but absolutely doable with almost any vehicle. You dont need 4x4.

Report Check-In

Spent two nights here, the view was much better than at Daggett, and the price even better! There is a sort of caretaker that you give small donations to in order to pick up the garbage. No other services it's pretty much wild camping but we felt really safe. Don't leave food or food waste laying about there are coyotes that patrol the area!

Report Check-In

Had a great night here! Free, or you could make a donation to the caretaker. Clean pebble beach. Great to hike around. You could find some secluded spots out further on the point or further down the road, or park on strip with the RVs. Paddleboarded with some sea lions. Beautiful sunset. It was calm until 6:30pm and then a strong wind came suddenly and was blowing in every direction, so just watch out for that.

I can't say enough good things about this area. it will take your breath. we felt totally safe. outhouses are even less scary than they look. great place to try out free camping. area has trash cans and sort of a caretaker who comes around and picks up trash. he doesn't speak a word of English and may have tried to tell us not to have fires on the beach but when I showed him our small pile of wood he was fine with it. not sure of his authority to tell us anything but he clearly cares about the area and keeps it nice so whatever, we went with it. saw sea lions, caught some fish, awesome beach hike with starfish area. a little windy at night but manageable. worth the trip!!!

Report Check-In

Nice spot to stay, quiet and a lot of wildlive to see.we are not sure if it is free or not, mad a donation

Posted as part on national park. No fees. Several campers on beach. Beautiful location. We had a lot of birding activity with pelicans and brown boobies feeding just off the beach. Was very clean. A couple of dilapidated semi-pit toilets. Beach was very clean.

Report Check-In

Beautiful! A man came by and collected trash but didn't ask us to pay any camping fee. No facilities. Highway is currently under construction but will likely be paved almost the whole way soon.

Report Check-In

Apparently the spit of land at the end of la gringa is federal property and the person who has been charging people to stay here has no claim to it... And supposedly was forced to leave baja for his years of trouble making... This area is now more formally classified as national park and you can camp out here for free. Not great wind cover but in our experience it tends to die down at night. A vigilante (guard) might come by in various states of sobriety to "check in" and inquire about length of stay and number of people.

Beach camping on the northern end of Bahia de Los Angeles. Stunning views. Rustic toilets. Showers available at office. 2015 pricing is 100 MXN/night.

Report Check-In

- 70 pesos per night (with some haggling)
- bad pit toilets
- water can be purchased
- no showers, no electricity
- right at the beach
- very bad access road (try to follow the road by the coast, rather than the main washboard road).

Report Check-In

Primitive campsite on the north end of Gonzaga Bay. Friendly family runs the place and will give you a good price. They also offer giant tubs of non-potable water that is great for showering and dishes. ~USD $5.00
