Description

The entrance could be difficult for big rigs; we had a 5.5 meters and had no problem. Narrow streets and very tight turn into gate if cars parked opposite might lock you in

We were directed here by the tourist information office at the Plaza de Armas of Ayacucho. The Casa del Maestro is a boarding institution for professors and includes a rather large (when we visited around lunchtime) empty parking lot (cochera) suitable even for big rigs. The ground is dirt / dust, the gate was open and the area obviously unguarded. We inquired at the small eatery on the premises and they said they were in charge but the responsible person would only be back at 6 or 7pm. We went to the Hotel Samary instead and really liked it there, but for bigger rigs, the Casa del Maestro might be the only option close to the centre.

Latest Check-Ins

According to the lady who manages the parking, it is no longer possible to sleep in his car. Parking remains at 5 soles the day and 5 soles at night. We left the car and we took a cheap room in the street next door.

Really a good place, exactly in the hart of this beautiful town; just one block from Plaza De Armas. Very quite and safe. We paid to the lady in the little shop/restaurant, at the the entrance, 5 soles for the night and 5 soles for the day. Kindly asking to that lady you can have the key of the toilet where there is also a water tap with a good pressure to refill your tank. The entrance could be difficult for big rigs; we had a 5.5 meters and had no problem. Better to drive just some meters over and enter by reverse gear.

Report Check-In

We only passed through Ayacucho for the night on our way to the coast so we arrived late and left early.. 6s overnight. Quiet overnight even on a Saturday, and there are baños on site.

Report Check-In

it was difficult to come to this place as they are building canalization beneath some streets, to prevent floating when it is raining. at the entrance even with our sprinter van it took us a bit and we had to remove some parked motos at the oposite street.
then the man at the small restaurant wanted 3 sols / hour during daytime. after showing the ioverlander recomendation he asked the young senora and agreed to 10 sols/ 24 hours. no infrastructure, but very convenient to go plaza del armas and the marked. we received a free wifi signal.

Report Check-In

Attention: the entire centre of Ayacucho is closed for trucks - for a good reason: roads are too narrow for big rigs!
Despite this we managed to get our Mercedes to this place.

To get into the gate of this place the parking spaces across the road need to be vacant, otherwise we couldn't have made the turn into the gate with our vehicle. We were lucky that we arrived on a Sunday - on weekdays the road is usually full with parked vehicles by 8.00am. So we will have to leave very early in the morning, in order to get out again.
Noise here is bearable, for an inner city location. There are 2 yappy dogs on the property.
Ground isn't quite level but okay.
The lady at the lunch place is quite friendly, but difficult to understand (if your Spanish isn't that good). We paid her S/10 a night and stayed several nights.

Report Check-In

We went there and could park for the day and even slept there at night. The door close at 10.00 pm and open at 6.00 am. They didn't ask to pay anything, but we let something.
