Something not right?

Description

We stayed 3 nights at the parking lot. The view is nice and it's free.
4G phone reception, but can be weak and variable. Road noise not so bad as parking is elevated above and lots of space to move back.

Latest Check-Ins

5G TMobile. 2 other folks, "unpacked". Still snow on the trail.

Report Check-In

trillium lake still closed. this place here is free, nice view, sunny, but right next to the road. ok for a night or two. two other rv's are here, they look like parked for a while, all set up

Report Check-In

Elevated off the road reducing the noise somewhat. Technically had some service using Google Fi. But it was too weak and variable to be much use. In the summer you can drive past the snopark hut to get a bit more privacy.

Report Check-In

Stayed across the street at sno park but checked it out..looked good, still operational.

Big lot. Easy to find level parking. There were two other campers there. Great trail for hiking in the summer. Fair amount of road noise from the highway but not bad enough to disrupt sleeping.

Giant Lot right across the street from the Trillium SnoPark, havent had anyone else stop in a few days most of the cars are over at the Trillium. Have had great Starlink connection and 4 bars of 5G (verizon). The road noise is almost nonexisistant at night and very tolerable during the day (as a full timer might be different vacationing) We picked this spot because its hard to find Boondocking locations for a Big Rig

Did not stay here and wanted to share my sketchy experience, that may or not be a rare occurrence. Not to scare people but just as info.

TLDR: GUNSHOTS

I’m parked in the back corner of lot. There’s two other suv campers spaced out. It’s 7:30 pm and a car pulls up towards the info sign and the small hill to get up to the snow part of the park. I immediately think something is weird since they keep trying to drive up the snow further into park. A sketchy dude gets out and starts talking and moving about and gets back in. They try this for 10 min or so and finally make it up and out of sight from parking lot. Within another 5 mins I hear around SIX GUNSHOTS. When they drive down the bank they sit there for a couple min and then drive off. I probably could of stayed but decided to dip out as I felt unsafe and went to another spot. Do with this what you will. Probably safe 90% of time but thought I would share.
