Description

This is a official place to buy ferry Tickets. You may get better prices outside with the ticketdealers. You have to pay the whole money in advance! But you get all Papers you need. For us it looks safe and we had no Problem. The dealers outside are very nasty. To talk first with the captain and look at the ship wouldn't work, because you must normaly book in advance when the boat is still on the water. We took the San Marino II, because 2,50m height. The car stays outside with no height restrictions and you can go nearly anytime to the car. We paid 2000rs for the car and 1300rs for 2p in a cabin. So 3300rs to Belem. No food included. (Hammocks are cheaper ca. 900rs for 2p). But we slept half the time in a hammock because the cabins are not so nice. Next time we will safe the money for the cabin. The embarking for the car is the evening before and you can stay on board. The ship is 20 years old, the Crew was nice and we arived safely after 3 days in Belem.

EN - We slept one night and went to talk directly to the captain of the ship. In the port itself there are many sellers and the prices are very disparate, so it is better to try to cut a price with the captain himself or someone from the crew.
Our 7-metre van with 3 people charged us 3700 reais to Belen.
The boarding was slow, first at 17, then 18, then 19 and finally we boarded at 23hs.

Manaus- Santarem
Bought our tickets here on Sunday for Tuesday ferry (Mondays ferry didn't have room for the van). Paid 1250 for the van (Mitsubishi L300) and 250 for 2 people. they started at 1500 for the van but very quickly dropped the price when we asked if it was negotiable and told them we were thinking about driving to Porto Velho instead. Had to board the van at 7PM the night before we left and could either stay in the van overnight or leave to go to a hotel

For Belém, buy your tickets at the ticket office here - rather than agents on the street or in offices at the back of an alley/shop. At this date 2 vessels load large vehicles - the San Marino II and the Rondonia. Loading and unloading can be interesting. We traveled on the San Marino II, had access to our truck during the crossing but slept on deck in hammocks. We cooked for ourselves. Toilets with showers were old but clean enough all things considered. Even at the official ticket office...negotiate the price of your passage and that of your vehicle.

We bought our tickets to Belém here, it's not very clear as it doesn't look like there's an official ticket office, we could buy our tickets only through an agency guy (maybe you can but them online or by WhatsApp if you get a number?)
Anyway we paid 1400reais for two people (hammocks) and two motorbikes, no food included. The agency guy kept 200 as commission. They only gave us a piece of paper as a ticket, seemed a bit dodgy but it worked fine.
We were on the Rondonia ferry, it was crowded and the bathrooms weren't the best (half of the toilets wouldn't flush) but I'm not sure other boats would be much better than this. It was okay anyway for a few days. Food is very repetitive and not the best so bring some snacks with you. Also better bring some toilet paper and a power bank, not many electricity sockets available.

We embarked there to Belem with a 4x4 and paid 100 rial. Thats what we told in the ticketoffice , so it should be the normal prime.

I followed a delivery truck (close) when leaving the port and nobody stopped me, left without paying, maybe one doesn't need to pay any more?

Report Check-In

It's more like port fees.
Both vehicles arriving to and leaving from this port need to pay.
We also paid 45Rs per bike and I think it was around 90-100Rs for a car.

Report Check-In

Where we disembarked from the San Marino ferry from Belem. We had to pay a 45R 'disembarkation fee' per bike.
