Description

Nice spot next to the park in the historic center. Close to everything so you just park and walk around. We have been boondocking in this area for 18 days and it feels safe. The street is almost empty in the evening and there is lot of space to park. Police is patrolling regularly. Streets in the historic center can be very narrow but this one is large and connect to the main street. Also, you can have free cleaning and dental repairs done by students at the Facultad of Odontologia just on the other side of the park. Quinceañera (fête des 15 ans) in their beautiful dress come on saturdays at the park Fuente de Las Taracas for the photo shot. While we were there, they had a cyclovia every sunday: some roads are closed and families can enjoy cycling without cars. At the Morelia’s Cathedrale, try the ride with the unique bicycle moved by 12 cyclists ! Don’t miss the Muelle del Amor a charming narrow street for lovers.

Latest Check-Ins

We spent two nights opposite Hotel Diana del Bosque. There is a number of parking spots perpendicular to the road so we could have our bed side a little further from the road. Very well-lit. We had morning coffee in the hotel restaurant to use the facilities but there is also a pay bathroom just inside the park. If you can handle the occasional loud traffic noise (our fan drowned it out), it’s a good spot!

Spent a Friday night here. Arrived at 8p. Noise of people outside and vehicles lasted until midnight or so but then more quiet. Thanks.

stayed here one night (Monday night), spacious street compared to morelia city centre so good for big rig, but not too far to walk to city centre, can be hard to find a spot during the day but at night it's very easy, felt safe despite me stupidly forgetting my shoes on the step of my camper outside which evidently got stolen

Report Check-In

Stayed here for one night. Felt very safe.
One permanent resident living in a converted bus a few places further up the street.
We found it pretty noisy through the night & needed earplugs.

Report Check-In

We spent 18 days boondocking in the street of Morelia without any issue. Moving every 2 days. Easier to find a place late in the evening when students and people going to the hospitals and clinics go home. Lots of places to park.

Report Check-In

It was easy to find a place to park on Lic. Justo Mendoza street even on weekend (we were there on friday). Busy area during daytime. At night, lots of cars passing by, few pedestrians; quiet after all. Walkable distance from historic center. Not sure if it would be safe to stay there many days. Good for one night.
