Something not right?

Description

Flat, grassy spot high above the canyon. Next to road but almost no traffic. Alternatively drive 50m up the old road and you will be invisible from new road (not so flat and not so open).

[2023 Correction: there is a shallow drainage ditch between the road and the grassy spot mentioned, I think making it questionable to bring a large vehicle onto the grass. Likewise the section of old road mentioned is very steep and rough and probably not an enjoyable option for parking for the night.]

Latest Check-Ins

This was a really great area to camp. I didn't feel comfortable in the exposed spot right on the road, so I rode my motorcycle a bit into a pasture just a few meters to the west and set up camp there. It dumped rain in the middle of the night but the sun was out again in the morning and the mist rolling through the forest and valley as I was getting camp packed up was spectacular.

Arrived at night, big place, grass, a lot of fog coming up from the canyon, which gives a special atmosphere!

Really good place for the night. We saw sunset and sunrise with an amazing view down to the valley. It's quite next to the road but you have a large flat gras area and the traffic isn't to much (maybe 10 cars during 4.30 pm and 8am). We liked it.

Nice flat spot. It is beside the dirt road (5m away from road), but there is very little traffic. The views into the canyon are nice, and sunset was amazing.

Good place to stop along this long mountain route
