Nothing special. The only spot for miles in either direction I was able to find decent wind protection for my tent right at the entrance to the tunnel. You may be visible to some taller trucks passing on the side of the road you choose but I was not bothered by anyone.

This spot saved me on long wind blown road between Rio Grande and the border. Perfect place for a tent (cyclist). No possibility to park a car. You can place you tent well out of the wind and reasonably out sight. I slept like a rose.
