Broadway Trailhead right outside city limits and NP territory. There's a couple of spots at the trailhead and at the end of the road. Quiet at night, few vehicles passing by. Hikers start the day early, around 7:00ish am. Literally at a 5 mins drive away from the Saguaro visitor center. Ok to walk your dog (or cat). Even though the road is paved, I wouldn't go there with a big rig as there's not that much space (we are in a 19 feet van).
Good cell reception, star gazing and Saguaros to photograph. I would suggest that to prevent crowding (residents complaining or police kicking us out) that you park at the end of the road as it's a dead end and the entry of the NP ranch research center.
Please be considerate to locals, pick up after yourselves (and others if needed) and no generators. Enjoy!
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
UPDATE: NPS has places signs at the end of this road stating no overnight parking or camping. We stayed here three nights then went to the west side of the park. When we came back the signs were up and the place was cleared out. Big RIP
Report Check-InArrived late and fell asleep without checking out the stars :( several other campers here, no issues. Would definitely stay here again. Verizon service at 3 bars LTE currently but sometimes had 5G I think.
Report Check-InAt least one other van here over night. Quite a bit of residential traffic til late evening. Nice spot with great views.
