Guatemala
This is a very nice and competent vet. She helped us with the health certificate for our dog to cross border to Mexico. In Guatemala you need a certificate from a vet and from the government! She does all that for you. It takes 2 days and cost 1500 Q.
She also examined our dog very thoroughly.
The place is very conveniently located right next to the tourist police where you can stay overnight for free. I can only warmly recommend this vet! Just knock on the glass door and someone will open you. Open 8am till 6 pm
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
very friendly vet who did a certificate to pass the border of Salvador. she really did the check up to the dog and sold pills for parasite.
few steps from thé spot parqueo of police
The veterinarian is helpful and she’s preparing the health-certificate to cross the border to Mexico. She recommended us to take the border at Ciudad Tecún Umán, because there’s no necessary the health-certificate of the government, which costs 3 to 5 times more than the normal certificate from the vet.
We payed 400 GTQ.
The only problem was she set up twice the certification with wrong data. Unfortunately we didn’t recognize the mistake on the second, that gave us a lot of problems at the border. With lot of discussion and the willingness of the custom-officer our dog could enter Mexico. Otherwise we would had to return to Guatemala.
So make sure all data of the owner and the dog, as well the full name of the vaccines and the antiparasitic treatment (including the active substance) are correct.
Very professional and friendly vet. Did the health certificate for our dog here.
