Such a lovely little stop for coffee and cake (so delicous!). As others have mentioned, there is a truly incredible set of stories (not just one!) behind the plane wreckage so do go in and ask! It was so heartwarming to hear how community-oriented the owners are and how they and their friends are collectively giving to and trying to build their local community! So inspiring. They have plans to make the plane into a museum to tell its story. Definitely worth supporting and also to have a lovely conversation with the very friendly owners! Friendly dog too!

Great little stop ! The plane is impressive and it's really worth asking for its story. You can enter it. Very friendly owner, speaking perfectly english. You can find coffee, tee, juices, cakes and kuchen. No bathroom. We enjoyed our visit and chatting with the lady here ! Very recommended.

Super nice café with a history! Agree with the first comment. The owners are very nice and have time for a chat etc. Coffee and cakes are excellent. At the moment no seating and only outside, with a shelter from wind and rain, no bathrooms. But WiFi... payment by card accepted. They have plans to make the café bigger, with proper seating, bakery, museum to tell the history of the plane. But already now it is well worth the stopp!

El Avión-
An old abandoned airplane with a fun story. A small coffee, tea and dessert shack in the trees. Parking on main highway or turn and park on side street. Wifi as mentioned. Interesting place. English and Spanish spoken.

It's a very nice café right next to an crashed and abandoned airplane. You can very well see the airplane from the road and the parking lot is right around the corner.
There is delicious smoothies (from blueberries picked around the corner) and coffee, tea and yummy Kuchen. You can also visit the plane and walk through it. And they have WiFi!
But no toilets or any kind of bathroom yet.
There is also no sign at the gate yet, but you can just walk in through the gate in the fence right in front of the airplane. They opened like 10 days ago, so everything is still in a phase of finding out what works best. They can also tell you the story about what happend to the plane. And they speak English perfectly, if that is relevant for you.

10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Coffee and cake and free wifi available at wreckage of an old plane near El Amarillo. Run by a very friendly English couple. Will refill water bottles also.
