Side of cliff over beach. Beautiful. Wide grassy area near lighthouse. Cell network good. Rough single lane potholed steep gravel road in. Not recommended for anything bigger than a B class.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Large grassy plateau with some gravel to the right of the road as you approach the lighthouse. Rough steep potholed single lane gravel road in. I wouldn't recommend this road or space for anything other than a b class. Outstanding views. Nobody here but us and from 5:00 we saw two cars come to visit the lighthouse and that was it for a Friday night. Good cell reception. Windy location. The other location further from the lighthouse with the picnic tables was much more sheltered.
Report Check-InGreat spot. I am the only one here on a Labor Day weekend. Easy walk to the light house. Easy dirt road to come in. Amazing!
Report Check-InWhat a spot to camp. On a Labor Day weekend I am the only one here! The lighthouse is a short walk. I have the ocean on one side and a view of Trinity and North Trinity on the other. I will return. By the way…dirt road coming in.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. There are two areas for parking. It's a bit of a drive on a gravel road, but it wasn't too bad. The fog horn on the lighthouse was "active" last night....but we got used to it.
Report Check-InWonderful views of the ocean and the towns of Trinity and East Trinity. Visited the Fort Point lighthouse for $5. Quiet when there is no fog horn. 4 or 5 separate areas to park.
Report Check-InGreat place to stay. The view was incredible on the grassy knoll over looking a rocky beach and the light house. Two other campers there but lots of space between.
Report Check-InGrassy pull off to the right when approaching lighthouse (~ 150 yards from lighthouse). Backed right up cliff edge. Only truck put had a couple visitors to whale watch. Saw 3 whales while eating dinner! Short trail to the left goes down to waters edge for a brisk swim. No issues at all!
Report Check-InGreat spot as described! Foggy so the fog horn was on but still had a good night sleep
Report Check-InA great place with stunning views to Trinity and the ocean on the other side. Works for smaller vehicles up to 22-23ft. Probably very busy in season and parking lot is very small so you would be an obstacle for visitors. Road to lighthouse is very bumpy
Report Check-InAs before, beautiful spot. Took the last possible spot in parking area by lighthouse. Gravel road is graded but single track most of the way. Sure hope all traffic is outbound in the morning. Internet best of the entire island.
Report Check-InSuperb spot with stunning view. Room for many RV's or vans. We were 4 and there is easily room for 2 or 3 more without being squeezed. Of course if there is fog, then you are going to hear the horn of the lighthouse every 30 seconds.
Report Check-InRoad is actually graded and in good condition. Drove right to Lighthouse in 20 foot motorhome. Beautiful view.
Report Check-InYes indeed this is THE spot in the province! This and also the lighthouse of Cook’s Harbour. It was a bit crowded so if you want to pick the best spot, better arrive early before supper. Cell signal is good enough for video calls especially if you manager to get close to the lighthouse.
Report Check-Ingreat place! won't miss it. road is not that bad. lighthouse was still closed for the season. popular place we heard from a fisherman. the same as the other folks wrote down. amazing view where ever you look. Were camped on the left side a few hundred meters before you enter the lighthouse. good spot, less windy.
Report Check-InA great grassy spot down the dirt road hill but before the lighthouse. Great 360 degree views. Occasionally a car would drive by to the lighthouse. Amazing beach and cliffs to explore.
Report Check-InOK... wow... everything everyone said. we parked in parking lot by lighthouse. one other camper here. We run a 30' class C btw. Roads not too bad, but single lane often. Be prepared to yield. Wow...
Report Check-InAmazing place with 360 view. Only the access road has a lot of pot holes. Should be careful with the gravel road.
Report Check-InAs described by previous visitors. Fabulous views of the pretty town of Trinity (recommend visiting the town) also can see across to where the Skerwink Trail is . We hiked the trail and could see over to the overnight spot. Did not see any whales. The lighthouse is gated and open from 9:30 to 4:30 $ 5 to get in. We did not do this.
This place is popular, 4 other rigs showed up after us . Everyone managed to park with respectful distances between
Windy as usual but great view, road was a little potholed.
Report Check-InBeautiful, quiet spot. Not much shelter from the wind, but otherwise great.
Report Check-InGreat spot, little windy but quiet at night. We stayed two nights. Whales every morning.
Report Check-InThe road 4km out is gravel with potholes and washboards. Made it in fine with our Sprinter. Nice, flat grass area about 100m from the lighthouse with lovely views over the water and Trinity. There is a gravel area in front of the lighthouse also. We have the spot all to ourselves and no one came up this way at night, very peaceful. Not too windy tonight. Nice spot to watch the whales. Great find, thanks for sharing the location.
Report Check-InNice views over trinity and the bay! No one around. Foghorns going most of the night. Good for one night
Report Check-Inwe were a little further away from Lighthouse. very quiet and beautifully.
wir standen etwas weiter weg vom lighthouse. sehr ruhig und wunderschön.
Report Check-InGrass field by the beach and lighthouse. Be prepared to hear foghorns at night if the weather is bad. We got lucky and saw fireworks the night we stayed.🎆🎇
