Description

Larger campsite at entry to park with electricity, taps, braai areas, good ablutions, pool which was out of order due to drought, park itself is very different with its freshly renovated hides to gameview from instead of driving around all day and we enjoyed this peaceful approach a lot, 240R (15€) for two + 152R (9,50€) conservation fee for two (wildcard not accepted)

Latest Check-Ins

We were told the campsite is open, but we had not planned to stay.

Report Check-In

We tried to check in here but as previously mentioned, it’s closed due to renovations/COVID-19. Quite disappointing as you can’t get through on their office number +27 035 573 9004 and the head office didn’t advise that it was closed. We stayed at Mantuma in one of the rest huts for R650/night for 2 people sharing. The staff were incredibly accommodating, the park itself has had a lot of maintenance done;- roads are good, hides have been redone. Really great park to visit, especially if you love birding.

Report Check-In

This campsite is closed due to COVID in 2021.

Report Check-In

No reception anymore at the campsite. We stayed there for 2 nights and paid nothing. Electricity only from evening to the morning. Ablutions in bad condition. Hyenas at night.

Report Check-In

don't trust Google Map follow the signs to Mkhuze from N2 than on ro
ad p563. The camp seemed abandoned but there is water and electricity

Report Check-In

Nice park, somehow unexpected. But the poorest ablutions on our 4-week-tour: not clean, you can't close the door, dark, they switch on the light only from evening till morning as well as the elecricity points at the campsite

Report Check-In

Big campsite, right by the gate. Very quiet (we were the only ones) when we were there but imagine it could get pretty busy. Good ablutions, hot water. Really nice park and very impressive bird hides. Highly recommend the guided Fig Forest Walk!

Great place to stay to explore the parc
