Some hundred meters from the main road, follow old track behind a rocky hill. Enter by the 4 wooden posts.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
this is the perfect wild camp between solitaire and sesriem! no fence nor forbidden signs on the old track leading there, beautiful view, but veryyyyy windy!
Report Check-Invery nice landscape and beautiful star gasing. quiet and safe. we put our 4x4 behind the rocks so no visible from the road.
we dont know if it is allowed or not because the next morning, we showed a lot of forbidden signs :-( but we slept very well and nobody disturbed us.
Place still accessable 24.01.23. No shade but small hills do protect from morning and evening sun. No MTC signal. Street visible far away but just a small pice.
Report Check-InStill accessible as of Oct 22. Nice place and nice view. Zero signal tough.
Report Check-InTracks to exact spot either faint or gone, but we made new ones. There was already someone behind the first hill when we arrived. Cold, 5 deg morning. Slightly wind protected. No MTC
Report Check-InGreat place with nice view and currently mostly covered with dry grass. Almost completely out of sight from the road which is far enough away and only a few cars passed by between 14 and 19:00. Easy to reach, just follow the existing track between the 4 old fence posts leaving the gravel road as said before. We could see some traces of antilopes but were nog lucky enough to see them. Anyway, good place to spent a night between Solitaire and Sesriem!
Report Check-InTrack to this spot a couple of k's up and over the brow into a big valley not visible to the road, the track continues... a few oryx quiet place.
Report Check-InReally nice bushcamp and a wonderfull place to celebrate our 21 months on the road in Africa. No wind when we were here. Calm and quiet. Just silence and mountains. And we saw Zebra's and a big herd of Onyx. Thanks for sharing!
Report Check-InWith the truck we stay just behind the first rocky hill (-24.066546, 15.976155). The place it's very nice and the wind was not to strong (probably the hill was protecting us). You might be seeing from the road but it's quite away.
Report Check-InA beautiful place to be! We even saw a herd of zebras nearby.
Just be careful and adhere exactly to the existing tracks.
Good quite place but the cold wind was killing. It kept going the whole night and day sow probably best if you could sleep in your car. But than again, it is a variable, might have been our gorgeous luck...
Report Check-InIndeed what is stated. Good place to camp, very quiet and alot of wind when we stayed the night.
Report Check-InAccess is at 4 old fence posts perpendicular to the coordinates. Go around the rocky hill, there are vehicle tracks. Very quiet and amazing view of the stars on a clear night. No mobile phone coverage. Watch out for scorpions at night.
