Description
Chongwe top river crossing. We were told at Woods Camp that this is a “year round” crossing and the river should be good to cross here despite being in rainy season (it had been unseasonably dry). The road to here was tough in sections. We attempted to cross in a landrover defender but abandoned as the river was too fast flowing. Water level approx 80-90cm deep. The current was strong. Wouldn’t recommend at this time of year. Turned into a pretty spot for a picnic though!
