It's a big flat spot (big rigs ok) just before the entrance to the GrutasTolantongo. If you want to sleep the night before and enter in the morning or (like us) you left Tolantongo really late and you didn't want to drive at night, this is a perfect place. Apart from that it has a great view, feels safe and is not overcrowded. There's some firewood around and we built a nice fire, it is quite cold, but our frownds made it through the night in a tent and there is even some signal coming through both Movistar and Telcel. Totally recommended!

Good place for a wild camping close by Grutas de Tolantongo. No facilities, but plenty of space and a nice view. Free.
Report Check-InLike the other reviews said, 100m from the entrance gate to the warm springs. Felt very safe at night and wasn’t bothered by anyone. Ran our dog as they are not allowed within the hot springs area
Report Check-InSweet spot right before the park entrance. Big semi flat piece of land for big rigs and nice views!
Report Check-InWe stayed here after the day in the hot springs, it is indeed very practical. However if you take the dirt road to the east there are several possibilities to be quiet and it is not much further.
