Description

Spent the night at the base of this trail head. There are no “no overnight” signs and I did not have any problems. There’s a nice view over part of Carson City in the mountains in the distance. Full bars of AT&T LTE, relatively level and close enough to Carson City that there is no snow on the ground.

Great place to stay a night. Close to town and quiet. Had no issues here.

GREAT SPOT - be kind to the locals, don’t set up camp, but they don’t seem to mind too much as long as you’re respectful. Had a guy say good morning on his way to the trail from his house. Felt super safe, good AT&T service. I moved here after either being I couldn’t stay places, feeling uncomfortable, or having bad service in Reno. Much better spot and closer to Tahoe. Kinda bright from the church across the way, but some coverings made that okay. Stayed one night here and would 100% stay here again. GREAT VIEW TOO

Stayed one night. Still no signs. No issue. Great ATT and Verizon

This was a nice place to stay. Visited Lake Tahoe but everything was removed.
There is a residential neighbor hood just down the street and across the street from a church.
Quite place at night with a great view in the AM.
No restrooms or running water but has a garbage can.
35 minute from South Lake Tahoe at night.
55 minute to South Lake Tahoe in the AM.

Pulled in here just for the night. It was relatively quiet and we weren’t bothered, but agree with the below comments that it’s best to not “set up camp” and spread out since it is a neighborhood.

Stayed here for a night. Large, flat lot, end of a quiet street, across from a church. Super quiet, no one showed up or bothered us. Please be respectful when you stay here as it is a residential area.

Great spot for a night. Pretty close and in view of houses nearby. Right opposite a church parking lot. Felt quite exposed to be honest, and we didn't want to bother any locals so stayed in the van at all times. Some dog walkers and joggers in the evening and early morning. Nice area to walk your dog. Wouldn't stay more than 1 night, and not into the day. Would not put chairs/table out.

Beautiful location, quiet all night, a couple early morning hikers. Non-obtrusive light from the church directly behind the trailhead. Mostly flat though we used levels on one side. City lights at night. Easy access back to the main road. Stop at Comma Coffee for breakfast- you won’t be disappointed!!

Report Check-In

The police rocked up in the night and told us, it’s not allowed to stay here overnight.
