Huge parking lot facing the Cane River, and the Cane River Queen boat. Beautiful view, quiet, we are the only one who parked here overnight. We parked almost under the bridge and there’s a camera. Well lit area, we felt safe. It has about 10 metal boxes with 50 amps and 110 plugs these maybe are tent stores when there are festivals by the river. Didn’t find water spigot. Perfect spot! Don’t abuse this spot pls

Really nice place to park for the night with bathrooms & water fountains on the south side of the parking area. The parking area is very well lit all night, this place is best for campers/rigs/cars that can fit into one spot. There are electric boxes but I would not use them unless you are desperate as we want to keep this spot open. It was me and a minivan here for the night. Street sweepers came through at 7 am. I was planning on staying another night but at 11 pm a guy came and did a long knock on my door and said ‘excuse me.’ By the time I got to the front he had turned to leave, I am assuming it was a guy from the community that didn’t like people staying in the park and were trying to scare them off but I could be wrong. I didn’t fear for my safety and was too tired to move so I stayed for the night.
Report Check-InNice place to stay and visit the cute town, which is a very safe and clean place.
Speak whit to police and say you can stay here no problème.
Beautiful spot and no signage indicating no parking (although a local told me “you’re not supposed to”). There is a public bathroom at the end of the lot. Yes, there are electrical outlets but they’re meant for summer vendors (not intended for “campers”) Initially it seemed others were parked overnight here too but, when I awoke at 2 am, I was literally the only one parked here. I wasn’t comfortable with that so I moved to Wal-Mart, where others were parked and which was super quiet.
Report Check-InStayed for 6 nights. Even asked the police if it was okay to stay there. There were occasionally people sleeping in their vehicles. No other travelers like ourselves though. Mostly peaceful accept for occasional music and chatter from the Loft Bar on the main road above. Public restrooms open til 10pm. Occasional 4am street cleaning. Farmers market in the parking lot on Saturdays. Lovely small town!
