We stayed one night, camping, 10 USD per person. Beautiful place, we were alone.
They warmed up water for the shower for us, there are tables and benches with a small tined roof.
We had a large beer ( 5000Tsh) while watching the sun go down. The Kili stayed in the clouds but the sunset was stunning.

Enquire about a room to be told that a double is $260 pn!!! A little over our budget and we’re ready to walk out when the very helpful and thoughtful lady suggested we book for camping which $20pppn but ask for an upgrate which worked out to $80! We were very grateful. Had lunch & dinner at the pub. Delicious meals, super comfy beds and gorgeous bath…a great night to remember at the base of Kili.

Lovely quiet night. Camping is found behind the hotel with plenty of flat ground; $10 pppn (+5% to pay and with card but wouldn’t rely on paying with card). We were given keys to one of the rooms where we could have a hot bath/shower (this is available closer to the camping area but we were the only people camping). Otherwise there were toilets nearby and washing up facilities. There is a swimming pool that you are able to access, also guided walks on offer and a restaurant that we didn’t try but smelt pretty good and had quite a few people in it! We had a stunning clear view of Killi in the morning. The gardens are really beautiful and there’s loads of birdlife around.

Good Campsite for a night. Hot showers, green lawn, place for washing dishes and a nice swimming pool. It's located behind the hotel so you don't hear the road at night. We had a pleasant quiet night sleep.

Very nice old Hotel , Campsite in the wonderful Garden ,best hot shower in Tansania, Pool ok, Bar ok ,we will come again!

Nice camp site. It was very quiet - I was only one there. Showers were great and ablutions clean.
Staff a bit frosty at first, buy they warmed up over the 2 days I stayed there. Payment by Visa available, but campers have to pay cash, they said. I objected and was allowed to run a tab and pay by Visa.
DB&B in hotel is a whopping $140; camping a more modest $10. Food off the menu is much cheaper than the set meals.
WiFi is TS 30,000 for 100Mb, but didn’t work.

A nice little campsite, but it’s small so only a few people/cars fit. A large truck came with a big group just after we arrived and we were lucky to have found a space! Otherwise nice facilities and bar and pool. Had a nice view of Kilimanjaro too. $10pp for camping.

Report Check-In

Could have been nice, but two loud overland trucks spoiled our peaceful evening. The guard/management didn't want to ask them to keep their noise down, so it became a very short and unpleasant night.

this is one of my favourite campgrounds by far in Tanzania the spot for camping is just behind the hotel with full access to the pool bar and restaurant great views of Mount Kilimanjaro while having a cold drink with ice is priceless. the water is heated by donkey and the showers are clean as well as the toilets

Nice and secure place for motorcycle. Camping site at the back of the hotel. Electrical outlets and lights easily available at campsite. Abulations are clean with hot showers. Pay USD10pppn. We can use the swimming pool and can view Mt Kilimanjaro on a good day from the nice lawn outside the in-house pub. Snack food (fish and chips or spaghetti) can be ordered early and serve at dinner.

Report Check-In

Definitely big rig friendly.
Great campsite with a small stream at the side. Covered cooking area but food is available as both full meals and snacks.
The overall site is superb, set in well manicured gardens. The buildings look to be ex colonial.
