Something not right?

Description

Nice, simple, clean cabanas. 400 for one with a double bed - there would be space in the little kitchen/living area to fit more people if necessary, there are some hessian camp beds available. Cold showers and no wifi but very clean and fantastic, firm beds. Very quiet village. Maybe our best sleep in seven months of bike tour! There’s a sink and sofa, and a gas hob although it’s not plugged into gas. Maybe they’d sort that for you if you asked but we had our own cooking stuff.

We also asked about camping and only using a bathroom, we were quoted 200 for that but the bed looked so nice we couldn’t resist.

Latest Check-Ins

We paid 400 pesos for the cabin. For the walks to the caves and the cenote you need a guide (100-200 pesos). It is really nice, friendly monkeys too.

Nice big cabanas but it costs a lot for what you get. Prices have increased to 500/night and while the cabins are large and the bed is comfy they lack a lot of basics:

there is a stove but no gas
there was no water for about half of our stay
WiFi is extra from the shop a few doors down
no AC (but the fan is OK)
the owner took us on a tour of the local caves which was great and seemed to justify the high price of the cabin...then asked for an extra 100 each for the tour at the end.
no fly screens on any windows (mozzies about)

nice cabins in a nice quiet village and beautiful surroundings but they haven't got it quite right.
