Tranquil, serene, quiet and just outside of town. Found this location and what an incredible spot to camp for a night or two. This area is located next to a protected area designated for the trumpeter swan, North America’s largest swan. Really beautiful creatures and super friendly, amazing reflective view of the mountains. There are two pull-outs here, one larger one medium size, not flat but with some balancers not a problem. No signs posted anywhere about parking, please respect this area it’s hard to find good camping spots in Jackson.

This place is no longer available to camp. We were awakened early in the morning by a deputy sheriff informing us there is no overnight camping allowed in this spot, and there is now a sign that was not there when we arrived.
