Something not right?

Description

In the afternoon they open the way at 5 (I do not know if in the morning they open the way). The machines have already passed so the road is in good condition. They ask for a voluntary donation.
....
Por la tarde abren el camino a las 5 (no sé si en la mañana abran paso). Ya pasaron las máquinas así que el camino está en buen estado. Piden una donación voluntaria.

Just a note that the route I took may not be the only one (though it does work). I may have done something stupid and the road NW of the town may be easier.

Report Check-In

Just drove the alternate route yesterday: it’s farther south from this point, small dirt road heading to the village Shushilcon. The ascent is kind of rough…not super bad, but there was one very muddy section I had trouble with. Bike got stuck and a kind local helped push me out, thankfully. But I wouldn’t attempt it in heavy rains!

Once you get to the top of the mountain, though, the road vastly improves…it’s paved all the way back down to the panamericana.

Report Check-In

At the warning marker to the north, they are letting bikes and motorbikes through, but the policeman said no cars (except residents I think). It looks like buses and through traffic are taking the E487 and then cutting across a rough road to Alausi from the NW.
This detour route isn’t too bad gravel/dirt, but the part where you get to Alausi and have to cross the road they’ve dug out through the landslide itself is very rocky.

Report Check-In

There was a huge Landslide, no way to cross, not with a vehicle, bicycle or on foot. We tried to drive trough a secondary road but it was also affected, we got to see the extent of the Landslide and the road is totally gone, it looked like some houses had also been destroyed.
Based on what we saw it won't be passable for a long time.
