As of 5/28/2023 there is no access from the east. There is a road closed sign on 308 about 2 miles before the site.
Report Check-InBig open camping area just off Ivory Mill Rd. Great views. The road up here isn’t for the faint of heart and definitely not for big rigs. I made it up here fine in a factory 2wd econoline van though. The road starts to get more technical after this point, I wouldn’t recommend it in a van after this turnout. 1-2 bars Verizon LTE.
