Description

Great city park with several free sites for travelers. Restrooms were nearby but locked.

Edit (Jan 2024): Bathrooms seem to be open sunrise to sunset but that might change so don’t rely on it
Edit (Mar 2024): Bathroom was open when I got here before sunset.

Hey after 13 hrs trying to get to NM, gave up needed fuel, found this!! Great free spot, electric and water! Had 2 1/2 hrs to go at 5:30 😵‍💫. Meet a lady that has lived out of her mini van for 4 years !

Nice place to camp here for free. This lot was meant for RVs as parking spaces are wide. Free electrical hookups and water available. As a campervan, I parked at the edge of the lot and had no problems.

Great stop with space for about 8-10 vehicles. Electric and water hookups too.

Nice by donation spot with electricity and water. I haven't found where to donate yet. Honestly I'm really pleased after a long day of travel. Sign says 4 days maximum for visitors; not for commercial use.

Bathrooms were open the next morning; they seem to be open sunrise to sunset

Great place for the night felt very safe. I was here with two other campers. The spots are also a bit slanted. There were cars going by the park until 9pm or so then it died down and was quiet the rest of the night. Bathroom was closed when I got here at 6pm not sure if it is closed for the season or for the night. There is only electrical at certain spots, I was originally in the furthest spot to the west but the 30 amp didn’t work on that pole. So I went to the other spot that was not occupied that had electrical and it was the farthest to the east where the 30 amp plug in did work. There was water at each pole but there was no pressure and was barely trickling out. I was going to stay two nights but decided to move on as there was no water and no bathroom access.

Stayed here last night. Basically the same as others have said, except the water was not working while we were here. I tested multiple sites spigots and water only came out at a dribble. Not sure if it's a seasonal thing or if it's a special case now due to the recent cold temps in the area. Sites slope down so blocks are needed to be level, but can't complain too much with free!
