Road 408 | Warning

Unlike many warnings like this that turn out to be a few small washouts, this one is accurate. This is a legit 4WD route. We are very experienced off road drivers with a reasonably capable truck (Toyota Tacoma), and do some relatively adventurous driving on our trip. This time though, coming from Pejibaye direction we made it a few KM into the 4WD section and turned around. Pinstriping, rough road, and off camber sections don't scare us, but there were some steep sections with large boulders where one wrong move, your tire would slip off and you could be high centered or do damage to the underside of your vehicle. Long stretches with no place to turn around, make sure you walk ahead for the next turn around before driving over something you're not confident you can back-up over. Beautiful route, but you should have two smaller vehicles with skilled drivers, both with skidplates/lockers/winches/etc. to attempt this.

Warning this road is suitable for small 4WD only. In some sections there are step lose rock sections. You many need to trim trees in some areas. In others the road has been washed out all together.
Only do on large bike if you are supper experience at off roading.
There is no service and no vechile on this road you need to be self reliant.
