Parking lot for a walking trail. Closest ramp from the highway was closed at the time. Spent the night in our 16 ft tow behind trailer. Super quiet, noone around in the evening but a few locals in the morning bird watching. Garbage can and recycling available at trail head. walking trail is 1.5 km in total, beautiful board walk with lots of local curious birds 🐦 would stay again! Trail is dog friendly. NO "no camping" signs present
Report Check-InAsked Parks Canada worker, overnights are allowed but many locals stop by at night
Drive to the very top of the dam and park on the right side for a very nice sunset, can also walk across boat canal
Report Check-InWe had a pleasant and quiet one-night stay here. The site is as described. We were joined by three other over-nighters. There is some highway noise, but it is minimal at night. The trails are nice to explore, but the mosquitos are plenty!
Report Check-InIt was super full when I arrived arround 12am but it was totally ok to sleep there. And in the morning you can take a walk and watch some birds.

Report Check-InPerfect spot, we were 3 Vans the night we were there. Locals go swimming, we did not check out the swimming area.
Report Check-Innice quiet place even with a lot of other vans there. boardwalk is nice too
Report Check-InStayed at Pointe Yamachiche again (our 6-7th night in the past 2 summers). The space is as wonderful as the first time.
Now, This is IMPORTANT: the site is getting way more crowded and at this pace the municipality will eventually forbid overnight parking.
Please people be respectful and responsible. Yesturday someone showed up at 10:00 pm and started it generator for an our until we politely asked him to turn it off. Also clean your trash when you leave, this is a bird sanctuary, not a party beach (the city already added more trash/recycle bins). Also, don’t light fires in the parking lot.
Thank you and enjoy your stay.
Report Check-InSuper place ! Tranquille!
Very calm spot! Nice &easy walk with the dog. Small river. Lots of birds!
Report Check-InStopped here overnight. beautiful walk to the beach and great sunset. Unfortunately, we were woken up by local hooligans who proceeded to do donuts in the parking lot, spraying us with gravel. They finally headed out around midnight, and we decided to head out as well in case they came ba ck. This seems like an iaolated incident, based on the numerous good comments about the spot. i would probably try it again.
Report Check-InQuiet parking lot with no sign of no overnight parking.
Quick and easy access from the highway. We have a 36ft motor home, no issue for parking. Nice boardwalk to walk the dogs. 20 minutes walk to a nice clean beach.
nice parking spot in the woods close to the highway but quiet. amazing morning walk to the beach with bird watching
Report Check-InWonderful quiet spot and nice little walk to the lake in the morning.
Report Check-InVery nice area, as described by others. Be sure to check out the trails and boardwalk!
Report Check-InGreat place for overnight, there was 4 others RV that night. Police came to check at 10:30pm and then left. Safe place with a small beach 20 minutes walk.
Report Check-InJust off the highway yet no real traffic noise. Surrounded by nature, and a trail head where the board walk is beautiful (not a super popular trail, so not too much in and out traffic) . No signs against camping or overnight parking. No amenities. We actually arrived early evening and took our time the next morning with no issues at all.
Report Check-InSuper quiet, no visitor or traffic during the night, woke up to bird singing. Super place, just bring mosquito repellant if outside.. they are ferocious.
Report Check-Inthank for the idea Nice parking with the no outlet but is me at the highway little noice before sleep but not during the nigth
Poubelles disponibles.
Nice little parking just outside the Yamachiche point park. The park itself is essentially made of a wooden shore path, which is nice for a one hour tour. Garbage bins available.
Report Check-InNice place for a nights stay and an evening walk out onto the boardwalk to see some birds.
Very close to the main road for easy access, but also very quiet.
Report Check-InGood place just on the front of the lake. it's easy to find it from the road.
