NO OVERNIGHT PARKING, NO CAMPING SIGNS ARE POSTED. Day use only. Picnic tables, pit toilets on site. This is a very busy small, circular parking area with lots of traffic coming and going constantly. Highway 513 is paved and then turns into a very narrow gravel road with potholes and ruts about a mile from the lighthouse.
Report Check-InEven though the sign said "day use" nobody bothered me all night. one vehicle came by around 11 pm but drove on through the loop without stopping to bother me.
Gorgeous views and the lighthouse is open to go up! Picnic tables, grills, and clean pit toilets. The final part of the road is one lane and dirt but I made it in easily with my van and small cargo trailer.
Located at the end of a road in Hiawatha National Forest. Mostly open grassy area with picnic tables and grills edged by a narrow beach. Can climb to the top of the small lighthouse. Two clean pit toilets. Windy when we were here so bugs weren’t bad. Passed a camper on the way here but had the lighthouse loop to ourselves. Paved road turns to dirt at the end but it’s in good shape.
