New "no camping ordinance" in place. Police kicked everyone out at 230am due to locals complaints about campers. Police make their rounds through the lots every night.

Report Check-In

Unfortunately this spot is a no-go nowadays. Kicked out at 230am by the Police.

Pulled in around 11pm on a Friday night in one of the northern parking lots. Signs say pay for parking from 9a-5p, nothing about overnight. Another van lifer parked just a few spots down from us around midnight, and a pop up camper in the next lot around the same time. Everyone got booted at 230, even a couple people sleeping in their cars. Police said there is a "no camping ordinance" in place, despite a lack of signage. Apparently there's been a lot of campers stopping in here and it has ruffled the feathers of the locals.

Report Check-In

Nice in the off season, light road noise but more ocean sounds to drown it out.

great spot- packed sand parking - right beside beach access - clean porta potties - walk trail across the street that goes to tennis courts - basketball courts-flush toilet and water bottle fill station- fishing pier on bay side - just down the street from the town hall- which looks to be police dept as well- there's a couple of other beach parking lots along New River Inlet Road just past this one

Report Check-In

This is a packed sand parking lot for public beach access. It is paid parking from 9am-5pm, but I didn't see any signs prohibiting parking overnight. I half expected the dreaded knock in the night, but slept here quite peacefully, listening to the sounds of the surf. Not sure if I just got lucky though. The lot may fit big rigs, depending how crowded it is when you arrive. Saw many people walking their dogs, so it seems to be pet friendly as well.
