Description

Restaurante El Patron. On the Mulde, near The Lighttower. if you need an easy overnight boondocking in Mulege, this is it. Pebbly beach but any rig can park here and it's spacious.. Totally quiet, little beach side seafood 'restaurant' with great margaritas very close.

Great little beach side seafood restaurant. On the same beach if overnighting at the lighthouse. Looks like it might be cheap, but what's cheap anymore? big nice margaritas!

Just checking in here to say that the restaurant is definitely not closed. It's cozy and pleasant and the food is very tasty. I'm camped at the nearby palapas and just had dinner here this evening.

Report Check-In

Restaurant appears to be closed however you can camp for free on the beach either way. Many other campers are parked here as well.

We stayed 2 night in front of the restaurant, very nice people, the food was really great and location quiet in the night, no fiesta just few cars in the palapas

excellent food. loved our table on the beach. we camped at the restaurant instead palapas because of a few people partying but no big deal. loved it here. asked to use bathrooms which they said was fine except gates were closed at night.

Report Check-In

We originally setup by the palapas but as others reported the locals like to come to the palapas to party. After eating at the restaurant, we asked to park there for the night. It turned out to be a great decision as the locals are off for Christmas holiday and partied at the palapas from 2 to 4AM. We couldn't really hear their ruckus from near the restaurant. We really loved this spot. The beach here is all rocks. I found fishing in the river to be less troublesome.

Beautiful place. Nothing to declare. Adding photos.

Restaurant is open. I was told, after each hurricane they rebuild it again since over 30 years. Nice owners, good food. I had a dish with soup, fish, small salad, rice and two beers for 190 Pesos.
Bucket toilets, so don't look for the leaver inside the booth.
If you eat here, they let you stay in front oft restaurant, where it maybe more quiet than at the nearby palapas, where sometimes a party or car stereo can be on.

Very nice place to spend the day. Free camping is available, but stayed on a Friday and there was a lot of traffic. Then at 3:30am, about 7 cars showed up blasting music. Maybe avoid on the weekend, but otherwise very nice spot

Excellent food. Cool atmosphere! Great host, Lily and her daughter. Lily has been operating for 30 years. Closed on Mondays and occasionally throughout the day at school time pick up’s. Palapa’s on the spit near the lighthouse are free. About 100 yards from the restaurant.

The small beach restaurants are closed but you can camp for free on this amazing place. One site the river and other site the ocean. 200 m dirt but good road. Few palapas on the beach

Report Check-In

This place is open and the food is good! I had garlic shrimp with rice, salad, beans and a soda $10 US.

They said the place up the road is closed but they are open every day but Monday. Last place on the road...right on the water!

The restaurant is still there but I was in RV park Huerta don chano for 3 days and could not find anybody in that restaurant. Same for the other restaurant here in iOverlander as well. Am American guy lives there but confirm that the restaurants are closed and not open for camping.

Report Check-In

Restaurant didn't look appealing at first but was close to the camping spot and we could see the car form here. They didn't really have a menu but gave us everything we asked for. We had camaron tacos and those were amazing!
