Description
For cars, you go to the left side. There are different spaces with different time allocations for how long you can stay there with a max of 8 hrs. I don’t know how heavily the 8-hour rule is enforced. Note: as you can expect, this fills up QUICK. If you’re in a car, then be prepared to not get a spot. It’s 9 PM as I write this and all the spots are full.
For RVs and trailers, you go right. Much more space there. Fortunately I’m in a van so I think I’m able to get away with going to the section for RVs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.

Report Check-InThe rest area has been temporarily closed 3/5 times I've stopped by here in the last month. No explanation posted and nothing on the DoT website. Cars line up the entire entrance and exit ramps but rest area is gated off and empty sometimes for days.

Report Check-InRVs on the right, has dump station and water fill. 10 spots for RV or trailers. No time limit posted. Quiet rest here because of no semi trucks allowed! Grass, trees, picnic tables & black berries were in season.
Report Check-InWSDOT rest area. Law enforcement said they only enforce the 15 minute spots as that is all they can witness. Zero enforcement for those who have taken up residence even with signs posted. Loud. Fairly clean bathrooms.
Report Check-InOther post was in reverse. This is a loud rest stop with 15 minute limit signs. The cars go to the LEFT and RV Trailers go to the RIGHT. Clean bathrooms. Nearly Full when I arrived at 10:45pm. Hoping I’m okay for the night in a 15 minute spot. I was here earlier in the day and there are two vehicles obviously here for days-one has a car cover !!
