Large gravel parking lot with nice view of the water. (You can't see the view in my pics because it was raining but it is a nice view.) No "no parking" signs. Two picnic tables and a bear safe garbage can. There is a very clean outhouse just down the road at the marina. (But lots of no camping signs at the marina parking lot.)
We actually stayed at the upper parking lot last night, which we found thru iOverlander. Saw this one the next day when we drove down to the marina. It would have been a better choice, nicer views and more secluded, away from any houses.
There is a train track nearby and it came thru about 2:30 am this morning, very loud, blowing its horn. Otherwise it's a very quiet area.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
fairly level, fuse of the water, decent cell coverage for Verizon, close enough to town, definitely go down the hill and walk along the shore. the train does come by but not a big deal. there is some traffic but that dies off after dark. I shared it with two other people.
Report Check-InAs others have described. Beautiful spot, beautiful view and sunsets.
Fairly frequent trains nearby, but not too loud.

Report Check-InQuiet with a great view of the water. A few other campers with me there as we got stuck in town during a highway closure (for an accident). The marina washroom is a bit of a walk, especially at night, but if you don’t need it then this was a nice little spot for the night. Didn’t hear the train at all overnight, but it was a holiday Monday.
Report Check-InGood spot for one night, large for big RV, sunset are amazing with the pretty view. Quiet, the train pass around 11pm but not very loud. Pic nic table and garbage but no toilet (if you don’t have one in your car, go to the marina). Just a weard thing, the town of Marathon decided to close the two only attraction of this city for summer 2023… the pebble beach and the Marina are in work !
Report Check-InVery cool place. We had a quiet night with just one train and one heli from the hospital during the night.
Police passed without any problems. The locals are very friendly and like to chat with you.
