Description

Great spot to park for a couple nights. Other vans camp here and we have a 24ft RV and had no problem. It’s the parking lot of the Zoo but the zoo says it’s free parking and they don’t enforce parking rules. Also lots of trees for shade! Loved it here.

Latest Check-Ins

Got here at 4 am. A few van and cars were here. Raining and peaceful.

Report Check-In

No issues, no signs saying no overnighting as others have said. We even saw maintenance driving around in the morning after we woke up but they didn’t say anything to us, so assume it’s okay. Quiet overnight after some of the activities ended and several others camped as well.

Report Check-In

no signs restricting overnight parking. lots of space for lots of different rigs and people here at all hours at the park or driving around so it felt safe in that regard. fairly quiet. lots of signs about break in, not leaving your vehicle etc so be aware of that. and the bathroom situation is dire. only Porta potties and none have hand sanitizer, so be prepared and have a way to clean your hands!!

Report Check-In

NO SIGNS forbidding large vehicle parking or forbidding any specific hours. signs say parking is free. at 740 am we got a knock, told the security guy we hd tickets for ten am. he advised us to take up the full amount of space needed to pull out. we moved the bus to take up two more spaces then went in for our ticket time. after we came out about 1120 am, one of the park ranger got cranky with us and threatened to give us a citation. I explained we just went to the zoo and no signs specified where rv or large vehicles park. I really can't tell what his issue was, we were there for the zoo and paid to go to the zoo and we were in zoo parking. I called the zoo and explained what happened and they understood the issue. clearly the overnight security patrol had zero issues with us parking there. I suspect some Karen complained we were park d in five spaces. I would advise against staying longer than 8 am because that's when the park rangers decided to get cranky.

Report Check-In

Great place to spend the night. Calm, not crowded.

Report Check-In

Very quiet. I car camped here for two nights. There were a couple other vehicles in the lot. No problems. I stayed on the 8th and explored around town the 9th and stayed again.

Report Check-In

We slept here one night in our van. Big parking lot. 4 other vans/RVs slept there too. Quiet and safe. Fast cell reception. We didn’t stay long enough to search for a nearby bathroom. We will definitely stay here again!

Report Check-In

great quiet place. stayed the night no issues. another van was there as well. great spot for a night or 2.

Report Check-In

Going to check this spot out today. Stay tuned for update.

Report Check-In

I showed up around 6pm and there was an event going on in the zoo, it was packed. I still found a level parking spot far away from the front. cops were patrolling the parking lot but they didn’t bother me. slept well, it was a quiet night, no one bothered me. once folks cleared out from the event around 9 it got very quiet. there was another similar van staying the night as well. possibly also a few car campers also. not a bad spot at all.

Report Check-In

Spent the day at the zoo, then stayed one extra night in our Class B along with a couple VAN. Used trash bin and portable toilet in the city park.

Report Check-In

It confirms previous comments, had a quiet night in our Class B, enjoyed the shaded spot. Spend the next day at the zoo.

Report Check-In

overnight parking is no longer allowed, signs posted 1am-5am. also signs about vehicle break-ins. a good day use area though
