Description

Beautiful campsite at the beach. Lots of locals come here to hang out or surf. Plenty of room to park in shaded areas and also levelled.

Latest Check-Ins

The town of Carelmapu is closed to through traffic at least part of the day on February 1st and 2nd for the Fiesta de la Candelaria and there is no obvious way around so I was unable to make it to this spot.

This is a large, maintained parking area. There are city trash dumpsters. And many signs about treating the world nicely.
Huge area, and today it was super windy and cold, so no one was here. There is an area of trees fenced off with a no camping sign. But there is a large area of trees available for parking or hammocks. This is a pretty sweet spot. But we have guess it could get crowded.
Beware of high tides. There is plenty of space without driving on the beach. Further down the beach is a cool
Little public zone. Perfect for surfers, tents.skate boards, fires, etc. Club Tabla! As always, do NOT leave your poop here, take your paper. Put all your trash in the bin. Did not see the white wooden van.
There are no services here. Any size rig will fit. Cell service sucks.

Looks nice but pretty busy all afternoon and in the early evening (at least this time of the year) so little prospects for some privacy. Around 8pm we decided to leave and look for something better.

Good 3G/4G reception from Entel.
No trash around at this point, place looks really clean.
No facilities.

nice spot in front of the beach but sadly quite dirty. no facilities available

Report Check-In

Beautiful beach, but quite crowded and dirty. Well-known surf spot. Nice sundown. Close to the ferry to Chiloe, perfect for one night in a van, maybe not in a tent. Huge fences and private- signs all around, owner wouldn't let us pass to the next beach. Avoid talking to the weirdo in the white and wooden van (plate ends to 99), too. Very good restaurant in the village close by.

Excellent camping area by the beach. There is an area with lots of tre
es and it is very level. Beach is very nice here and great for exploring!
