Latest Check-Ins

It’s a nice but big campsite, when we were there, there were two big groups so it was quite loud and they still use a donkey to warm the water so we found the whole campsite smelt like smoke from early afternoon till late at night

Report Check-In

Nice place, quite, shadow, private bathroom four campsite, hot water, good food, little pool

Report Check-In

3rd time here, as this is still the best campsite in/around Maun. Site with private ablutions now 190 pula/pppn, but still worth it. Great hot shower! We spent 3 nights chillin’ and relaxing at the site nr.9. Friendly staff, as always. No Mascom signal, but good wifi at the pool and bar/restaurant.

Report Check-In

This is a lovely campsite for overnight. We camped at nr 7 which has its own bathroom and shaded area. We paid P360 for two. Wifi signal good for WhatsApp messages. Further as described although the overlander trucks were quiet and no smell of the drains. We give this place 4 stars.

Report Check-In

Make sure you ask if any tourist trucks are coming!
I had the pleasure of setting up camp and watch 3 massive truckloads of people arrive, one right next to me, very loud croud and music late in to the night.

The private Camp sites are further away from the "overlanding" campsites and are a lot quieter.

Report Check-In

Our 2nd visit here (1st was in early 2020), and this is still a nice place. Now they had a few new campsites with private ablutions (180 pula/pppn). We stayed at nr.8. Regular campsites are now 140 pula/pppn. Two pools, both nice, cool and clean. Good wifi on both pool areas. Tranquil place. Only downside was sometimes a faint foul smell from the drainage work (?) of the new campsites. Didn’t try the restaurant.
They have good tasting, potable borehole water. You can fill all your tanks.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite. There are sites with communal ablution (140ppp) and some with new private ablution and lapa (180ppp). Pool was smal but clean

Report Check-In

we have stayed here before and after out trip to Moremi. It doesnt smell, maybe that was a short time issue. The restaurant also serves plenty of food, although it is on the pricier side. Pool is exceptionally clean and staff very friendly. Washing for a pillow sized bag (stuffed) was 60P, which was cheap compared to the cleaners in town.

Report Check-In

I can't agree with this description! The wastwatermgmt does not work properly (the whole place stinks). The restaurant is a bar only, they provided pizza magerita (on request with a few slices of salami) or green salad with bacon. Quite expensive also. Although the aerea is realy nice, pool and sites with shade (trees and roofs). The staff is friendly indeed.

Report Check-In

We. stayed 4 days at this nice campground. We made an overnight game drive in the Moremi Park and we have seen a lot of different animals. Our guide, Charles grew up near the park and knows his way around. He wirkend for a company, but beside he makes his own game drives. It will be much cheaper than booked by a local agency. His number: +26773124494

Report Check-In

Very nice Camp with good and clean ablutions, restaurant and pool. Staff super friendly! Very site has power, light and running water! Definitely big rig friendly! We can recommend!!!

Report Check-In

Good Campsite with clean ablutions. Shade under trees and shelter at each campsite. Pizzas are delicious and Wifi reaches some campsites (those close to the bar). Still 140 Pula per person.

Report Check-In

Sitatunga is an excellent place to stop over. We stayed over on our way to Tsodilo Hills, and ended up staying another night.
Camp is well maintained and ablutions are clean.
Very good wifi and a very nice restaurant. Very friendly staff.
Tom the camp manager is great and very helpful.
We will visit you again!

Report Check-In

We definitely recommend this camp.
Our campsite (Nr 2) had grass and a large shelter to put our table. The common ablution were ok: hot shower any time with good pressure. The place is quiet, we slept very well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We could receive good advise about itinerary and activities organisation from Tom and from the owner Gery. The bar and restaurant staff were also very nice. They made our stay very pleasant. We stayed 3 nights but could have stayed longer.

Report Check-In

Great campsite, spacious and quite.
Hot shower's, swimming pool, bar and restaurant with great food.
P130.00 pppn
Private campsite also available!

Report Check-In

Very good campsite, we spend 5 nights here. Good ablutions, friendly staff, good restaurant... Perfect after a long time on the way !
P 115.- pppn

Report Check-In

Pretty basic campsite. Swimmingpool and restaurant available. Free wifi near restaurant. Our site didn't have private ablution, water or shaded space.
A bit expensive: BWP115 for adults, 85 for children

Later we visited Sedia which had better facilities and costs BWP110 per person (children free).

Report Check-In

Just South of Maun on the Ghanzi road. Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Two pools, A frame chalets, campsites and sites with own toilet, shower & wash basin under a roof.
Bar & restaurant on the premises. Boat cruises and mokoro trips into the Delta. Friendly and helpful staff.
Love this place and will always return here - I’m in Maun often and this is perfect for everyone!

Report Check-In

Absolutely the best campsite in Maun. Removed from the noise of town, pool, nar, restaurant, friendly staff and owners, A frame sites with their own shower and toilet. Got to be the very best place with loads of space, plenty shade. …. Go. You won’t regret it!

Report Check-In

By far the best place to stay in Maun. We stayed 4 nights. 10km away from Maun, but don't let that stop you. Friendly staff, good mechanic on site and great bar and restaurant. Electricity and water at the site. Great vibe. Very fast wifi. Showers were warm at everytime of the day. Paid 115pp per day

Report Check-In

The campsite is open, they renovate the spots with some roofs and small kitchen blocks. The restaurant the Tin Cup has new owners en perfect food and friendly staff.

Report Check-In

nice and good value. bar and restaurant now open.

Report Check-In

Extremely friendly staff, very clean campsites & ablutions, nice swimming pool. Short 2 min walk to the river. Will definitely be staying there again.

Report Check-In

Nice, spacious and quiet campsite.
Hot showers with a lot of pressure.
You can also relax at the river and enjoy the birdlife.
Friendly staff and owner.

Report Check-In

Good campsite. Has a bar but due to covid closed. The managment is very helpful and has a lot of knowledege about the delta. The gave some good advice for bookings and told us useful informations about the roadconditions etc. in the delta.
So recommended

Report Check-In

Also called Delta Rain and very much open for campers only at the moment. 120P per person. Restaurant and bar is closed due to Covid but the campsite is great, spacious and a real bush camp setup. The best one actually around Maun I think. Friendly welcome from the owner and manager so well recommended!

Report Check-In

Pleasant fenced in property with campsite with bar, shower, toilets and some covered areas for campers (dining, dishwashing). Currently closed due to missing visitors (rainy season in combination with Covid 19).

Report Check-In

The best camp in Maun! 115 pula pppn. Electricity and water tap on most sites, safari chic and clean ablutions, 2 swimming pools, lovely restaurant with great food and wifi. We stayed also in Maun Rest Camp and Sedia, which both are dirty and noisy compared to Sitatunga. Ended up staying here more than 2 weeks. Campsite 12 is the best (huge pitch with its own awning, most privacy, own power plug & water tap). We saw lots of bush babies and African barred owls in the campsite, lots of birds as well. Super friendly owners who helped us sort out car issues. Fenced. Short drive to Maun, so you don’t suffer from the nightly noise, just the sounds of nature here. Occasional overlanding trucks, but you can opt to stay away from them - and they do Delta tours with Sitatunga, so most of the time the truck(s) stand here empty.

Report Check-In

Great campsite, calm. Clean ablutions. Sites have electricity, water tap (great tasting borehole water!) and light. Best site is nr. 12, which has the most privacy and ceiling where you can put your table and chairs. Two
swimming pools. Nice restaurant (good pizza) and friendly staff. Owners were very helpful when we had a few car problems. Great place!

Report Check-In

Nice and clean campsite. Friendly staff. Wifi, Bar and Restaurant. Swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay

Report Check-In

Nice camp, lots of sites under some big trees, we picked number 6. Braai stand, electricity, tap and light at each site. Nice clean ablutions blocks and 2 swimming pools. Wifi at the bar/restaurant. P115 pp (we paid in Rand). Close to Maun without actually being close to or in the town.

Report Check-In

Very friendly staff. There was a lot of people - family friendly. We were on a quieter side with our 4x4 camper. Cost 115 per person with our 4x4 including electricity. Clean toilets and hot water with free wifi near the bar.

Report Check-In

Really nice camp, very cheap 115pula pppn. Good WiFi at bar nice campsite with big pitches, drinking water, power and braai. Lots of shade. Very nice ablutions and plenty of space for everyone. It’s a good 30 minute drive to Maun though.

Report Check-In

A really nice camp with two clean pools and very nice abolutions with so good water pressure. We also stayed at Maun rest camp and crocodile Safari camp, we liked sitatunga camp the most. And very friendly owners and staff.

Report Check-In

Lots of bird life, lovely camp sites, and quiet

Report Check-In

Nice and friendly place. Very friendly staff. They helped us a lot to fix our broken car at the Safari workshop.
They guys there are good and nice mechanics. Looks like a good Place where you can get Landrover spare Parts.
Also a nice small Pool near the bar.
Wifi works when not many people use it

Report Check-In

For us it is by far the best place to stay in Maun. It is a very spacious, sandy campground with a couple of trees so you can find some shade. They have Braaistands with water and electricity. There are Overlandertrucks but they didn´t bother us at all because they park close to the restaurant. They have renovated the ablutions and the showers are awesome. In the restaurant you get an excellent pizza and the staff is very friendly. During the day you can relax in the two tiny pools.

Report Check-In

Nice campsite, one of the best in Maun. Sandy but with a lot of trees for shades. Several braai pitches, electricity and water taps to share. Staff is very friendly. Rate 110P per person per night. 2 Swimmingpools. The main ablution block is renovated and very nice with hot shower.Pizzas in restaurant are very good. WiFi is good if it is no to crowded. Many overland trucks but they are in the restaurant area so not every truck is noisy. We liked the place very much.

Report Check-In

Overlander rate is only for the people in the big organised tour trucks. We paid 110pppn. Nice place.

Report Check-In

We also paid P110. This place owns a safari business called Delta Rain and the campsite can get very crowded and noisy with Overlanding trucks. The septic system gets overwhelmed and smells of sewage. On the plus side, staff are great. Wifi in the bar area is good when it's not crowded. And they have a quick laundry service. They turned our large load of laundry around same day for P90. They charge less for smaller loads.

Report Check-In

nice place our of town, campsides are big with brai and water,
price is 110p (inkl 10p bedlevie) for everyone! No overlanderprice!!! Someone (overlanders) made up this (fake) price and now they have to discuss with everybody coming. everyone just should pay the same 110p. very friendly staff.

Report Check-In

Nice place, friendly staff. We asked for the overlander rate and they charged us 180 Pula for 2 people, i.e. 90 Pula ppn.

Report Check-In

Notice: prices have changed to 105 P pppn (including bed levies).

Report Check-In

Good and cheap campsite. We can confirm the overlander rate of 55 pula (5$) ppn (incl. 10 pula government charge). The campsite is good and basic sand ground with some trees that provide shade. Ablutions are ok, the food in the bar is pretty expensive (80 pula for a pizza). We drove the las 3km with our big motorcycles, it is a really sandy road, but actually fun to drive but it was rainy season and rained the hole day, so big puddles we had to drive through. Don't know how bad the sand might be for motorcycles when dry. Cars and especially big rigs will be fine. Wifi is average there often are many people connected from the safari buses that stop here.

Report Check-In

Sandy places between trees, not very well maintained, ablution block average. They want now 110 Pula ppn, we had to discuss about the overlander rate ( half price).

Report Check-In

They now have an overland travel rate! If you have a foreign license plate or can prove that you are on the road for more than 3 months, you pay 45 pula pppn

Report Check-In

Great campsite a bit out of town. Good food at the bar and very friendly staff. Camping: 140 pula pppn, 35/45 pula for washing (depending on load). They also have chalets and meru tents. They also operate a lot of tours in the area (www.deltarain.com), which are not that expensive. Pizza P110-120 :)
