MODERATOR NOTE: WARNING! Thefts and vandalism reported in this location. Please use caution.
This is a park just next to a nice mall with a movie theater. The park has a well lit parking area. On the other side of the mall is a concert hall and a residential neighborhood. Due to the movie theater, there is foot traffic coming in and out of the mall late into the evening. It seemed like a nice place to stealth camp for the night while we waited on our pet export papers. At 9:30 at night, with people still gathered in the park, someone tried to bash in the passenger window of our sprinter van. We were inside and already sleeping. The noise woke us and our "emergency plan" kicked in and we were able to scare the thief away before he could break the window. It was still one of the most terrifying experience we have had in 4 years of van life travel. Moral of the sotry?? DO NOT CAMP HERE :-(
