This ended up being a great spot to stay for a few days. We have a 10m (32ft class A) RV and we had no problem getting here. When we arrived, we pulled up alongside the fence in their parking lot and they ended up just letting us stay there. Some of the electrical outlets around looked pretty bad but we were able to find one that looked alright and ran an extension cord from it. Showers are hit and miss but I found one with decent pressure to wash with. Proximity to the beach is amazing and there is a delicious restaurant down the road called El Sazón de Julieth. Mosquitoes were very bad so definitely get some bug spray! The only other thing worth noting is there is an obscene number of speed bumps in the city on the way to the beach. One in particular was so big, it scraped the underside of our tall rig and we couldn't believe it didn't destroy something. On the way out, we took that one a bit sideways and it helped, but be cautious and go slow! Unlike in the US, no one has had a problem with us needing to drive slower with our big rig in cities. This city has so many resources too, we needed a new part from the auto zone and they had it in stock! 200 peso taxi to the city and back or 150p each way.

This is simply a parking lot within a small hotel lot. We had the sensation of being ript off at 400 pesos for 2 for the night. All our stay in Texpan was indeed kind of difficult. The day after we were stop by fake police unit trying to get a bride because we were on highway 180 with a dually. They went away when they saw they were filmed by our dash cameras

We arrived at the end of the day and were swarmed by so many mosquitos that it was difficult to carry a conversion with the lady in charge. She confirmed that there would be a $200 peso charge per person, even for our two kids (total $800 pesos) for parking in their parking lot, no amenities. Not good value at all so we went to option number two: the parking lot at the beach. It’s quiet and has considerably fewer mosquitoes as well. I do not recommend this hotel at all with the indifferent staff and mosquitoes.

Nice place, easy access, the site is clean but the showera and bathrooms are not. I have managed to use the more secluded shower that I have cleaned once in the beginning and maintained. There is wifi but not optimal, I still managed to work from there. Close to the beach. Staff is great. Pretty empty in the weekdays. There was works done on the property, but other than that not much noise. The pruce has raised to 200pesos. still a good deal for the spot and security. I've been here for several day. There is a tiendita and a carniceria next to the bridge. very helpfull. there is an oxxo on the corner for your "american needs". (30 sec walk)

Nice place and staff. The owners are very alegre. Not much noise at night except the WE. Nice place to tent and a big place where I was able to work with the wifi. (OK) Ended up staying a week. Juan is there all night for your safety. Close to beach accessible directly from the property. Lavenderia in Tuxpan. Oxxo to a 30 seconds walk. The only downside is the cleanliness of the toilet and the showers. They are cold showers, but they were hot enough so it was not refreshing in the terrible heat. I would recommend and I would go back if passing in the area. At "the bridge" you will fine a carniceria, and a small restaurant. Decent egg and frijoles for 50 pesos. There is pollo asado also on the other side. If you like mariscos, the street north west of the bridge, may be your place.

Came for one night stayed for two. Very basic for a small RV. Small parking lot, no gate. Visible from public beach access road. Lots of light. Parked in the parking lot near a cabana with tables and hooked to the electricity. 300 per night with no negotiating. It’s a cute little hotel with cute signs. Restaurants weren’t open. There is no laundry service correcting an earlier report stating there is. Public washrooms and an abundant amount of cold shower stalls (like 12+!). Wifi was ok. They have multiple routers set up to extend it. Beach was dead when we were there. Beautiful slant and waves coming in. I wouldn’t swim it.

We spent 2 night here...we wish we would have stayed a week! This place is Amazing. You can set up camp in the grassy area with sand in front and walk straight to the ocean. we could hear and see the ocean from our roof top tent. The bathrooms and showers we clean, there is wifi and several spots to charge your devices. There is lots of nice shade and breeze, as well as 2 small restaurants, one on site and one beach front. The beach was really busy during the day but this spot was very quite an relaxing. We plan to come back!!! We came with our RV and had to park at the entercene of the parkinglot still on dry grass. We had to pay 150 Mex per Person altough we do not need bathroom etc. No wifi at out spot available , we stayed for one night.

Paid 150 pesos for one night of camping , staying in my vehicle. Electric and WiFi. WiFi very slow. I was the only one here and parked next to the eating area. Nice beach. Bathrooms typical. Oxxo within walking distance

We enjoyed our stay here, parked in the grass facing the beach, direct access to the beach, felt like Tulum before it became tourist trap overwhelming. Same basic layout and town, out past the town is down the Long Beach road the hotels and establishments are starting to take hold. This is the central popular area on the long expanse of beach, a nice central location with polapas on the beach to rent and a few carts with snacks for sale. Our nights were peaceful and quiet with just the ocean in the background. There was a local street side restaurant 5 min walk down the road. An OXXO convenience store is at the turn to the hotel. Note turn right just past the OXXO, then left at the Tectate sign into the Playa Azul parking lot. They insisted on 200 a night per person but we did get them down to 100 with effort. We stayed 4 nights. If a beach stay in Tuxpan is your desire, I recommend it. Yes they have WiFi

Thank you Fred-971 for your note . We were heading last night to this place and when we got there and read your note we just turned back. Just torture . Don’t deserve our money.
Also place didn’t look nice at all.

flat grassy area to set up your tent, paid $130 for the night.

Paid 150 peso’s pp, were too tired to negotiate. Bathroom stalls are really small, no restaurant nearby (had to take our car to the city center), quiet night.

Good camping area for roof top tents and ground tents. We drove along the beach and came in from there into a huge area. Expensive at 120 pesos per night per person, which apparently was the discount rate. Showers and toilets are not in great shape. You can rent towels though for 20pesos. Beach is lovely and safe swimming. We we told not to park on the beach at night Esp as women and children. Off season but a couple of restaurants open and oxo was 100 metres away. No WiFi anymore. Power available via sockets dotted around. Area to wash up.

Report Check-In

Stayed 2 nights.
camping grass area is for tents only. Agreed that we could camp the car with RTT o the sand area and camped between palm trees with a view down to the beach. good location and likely the best camping area at that beach. Beach is crowded even in off season.
Cost was high for what you get. 120pp.
toilet was not the best but ok and the showers where basic. but they worked and we enjoyed our time there.
We were told that the beach is not safe at night but it is fine within the grounds.
a Few hammocks are setup for relaxing.
Restaurant o site for breakfast and lunch but it does close before nightfall.
