Description

A paved parking lot next to the train tracks. We did not sleep, as we slept in the walking path lot down the street here, but we walked by at night and there were 4 campers parked here sleeping. There are no “no overnight parking” signs, and the area feels very safe. Walking distance to public restrooms, bars, a brewery, and restaurants.
Be respectful, don’t spread out, and clean up after yourself please :)

Great overnight parking in the heart of the River District. Close to breweries, art studios and the river walk trail. A lot of movement during the day but gets quiet at night. I've stayed multiple times and even worked from the lot without any issues. Every time I stay there are about 1-2 other Van's as well.

We stayed here three nights with no problems. 3 or 4 other vans every night. There is a train that runs once a night and in the morning, but that didn't bother us. There are Public Restrooms nearby, which is handy. We were gone each day, but back at night. As others have said, great location to explore the River Art's District!

Not a bad spot if you want to stay in Ashville, which you definitely do if you're on the fence, it's a great city. Super close to all the action, however that means it gets pretty loud in the morning around 7 am. Felt safe though and quiet until that point.

We spent one night. Easy to find. A few other vans parked in lot. Quiet, no hassles. Close to yummy tacos restaurant.

I did what Kae did and parked down the street in the small lot under the overpass. It's right next to the river. It worked out great.

Great spot... totally in the middle of everything fun to do in the River Arts District. My second night here and no trouble so far. I do move during the day so it's not so obvious. Just keep a low profile, as always

Perfect place to sleep in Asheville, you will see many other rigs here. It was quiet and we had no issues, slept 2 nights and stayed 2 whole days working remotely from this spot.
