Army Core of Engineers campground close to the lake. Clean showers, friendly hosts, well-spaced out campsites. We stayed at a primitive site on the edge which was well shaded. The hookup sites are less shaded but there are plenty of trees around. Dog-friendly. 80 sites. $20 primitive, $26w, $32 we. Reserve on recreation.gov.

Nice place, first loop is shaded and parts of the second loop is shaded including some of the primitive sites, of which there aren't many but enough I suppose as none of the other ones were full. Minimal cell service ATT and had to return to the front to book and even that I needed to call instead of online. All sites must be booked online now I think as they now only have the camp host volunteers. $20 for no hookups.
