Very sweet little campamento in a Pueblo Magico. Hot showers, large, clean bathroom, pet-friendly, gracious hosts. It was tough to get through the narrow streets in my 21’ Class C. Anything larger would struggle. Worth it! Nicest village I’ve seen so far with really great restaurants and there is a hotel down the street that offers day pass to their spa and pool. The kind of village where it is impossible to take a bad photograph.

Oh forgot to say we paid 150 pesos per person! Just in case anyone wants to know how much he charges now 😊

Daniel is very welcoming, attentive, kind and it was super easy to get to his place with Google Maps as they’re on there too and you can see guest reviews as well. Great place to walk your dogs. We let ours off leash and they played. Bathrooms are clean and there are Showers but the water pressure wasn’t the best but it was hot so we’re grateful for that! We sadly only stopped for one night so we couldn’t go into town but the town looks really charming!

Un espacio maravilloso para acampar, la familia Valerio te hará sentir en casa, un lugar tranquilo y con las comodidades básicas para ponerse al corriente con tu motor home, super recomendado y seguro.

Impossible to get a motorhome in here!!!!!! We are stuck in a tiny city! I’m loosing confidence in this site

Daniel is helping us get there! Super nice guy..
Not suitable for any class A..
we are in, but I’m not sure how we’re going to get out. I guess we arrived at Hotel California.

After a long drive up the 57 in Semana Santa traffic, this place is an oasis. Google maps brought right up to the door, and we could see the iron gate and the distinctive 1/2 round cutout wall ftom others photos to see we were at the right place

This is a very nice place to stay. I came here after a long day of exhausting driving and was very pleased with the place. Daniel is a real Gentleman, speaks English and is a very friendly and welcoming host. It’s maybe a good thing to give him a call before arriving-the place is not so easy to find, especially in the dark. He is also listet on Google maps, where you can find his phone number.
It’s sad that I had time just to stay for one night.

Superbe petit village ancien. On a dû quitter avant même de visiter la posadas mais tout de ce petit village était vraiment sympa.

Stayed here for a week. Dani was warm and welcoming and the wifi was fast enough for two travelers to work comfortably. The dogs LOVED the huge fenced area and the spot is quite walkable to great restaurants, a big hike up the nearby mountain, and mine tours. Loved it! Felt extremely secure.

We have visited Don Daniel y Doña Marta three times now on our trips back and forth between Oaxaca and New York in our converted Honda CRV. This is the place we most look forward to visiting. They have such a beautiful garden with birds everywhere and cactus flowering and nice little spaces to relax. The bathrooms are clean and they have hot showers. The hosts are so welcoming and make sure you feel at home. Our visits always feel too short. We never want to leave.

we stayed here for 4 nights. everything in available water, electricity and hot shower. we paid 150pesos per person. (Internet was also there but unfortunately minimal and only near the house.) The owners are super friendly. we also did our laundry there.

Report Check-In

We only stopped over night and didn’t have time to check out the town as we were making a beeline to the monolith the next day. But it was a perfect stopover! Daniel and his sister were very welcoming. Our two year old loved exploring the grounds and chasing the hens. Internet was very speedy and could be reached even from the camper. Showers were cold, I think you just need to ask for the hot water to be turned on!

Report Check-In

Great place. Lots of room for tents or RVs, plus three cabins.

Camping area is mostly-level gravel. No shade.

I paid 100 pesos to camp. I was the only visitor.

Fast WiFi!

Stayed the night here in our car. It’s a great place to stop for the night. Very safe. Very friendly. Very beautiful.

Felt like a home away from home. Came down the 70 from huasteca potosina and arrived late afternoon. Daniel, his wife Martita and son Daniel were so welcoming! One of my favorite hosts on my trip through Mexico. Their place is great for larger rigs I have a high top 19 footer. Showers were hot and there are plenty of places to hang. They will soon be having a bar and sitting area as well as 2 cabanas to rent. Super sweet and they do speak some English. ♥️♥️

19/3/2020 because of the corona virus. We will bunking down here until things are back to normal in the world.
This is our second visit here.
With all the shut downs ect we have driven back 2000klms to bunk down here. We feel safe and reassured that they will not close their doors to foreigners as many rv and camping areas are in Mexico are closing with the virus issues There is running water, bathrooms, internet, power and Dan and his family are very friendly genuine people that also speak fluent English, everything we need in times like this.

Daniel and his sister Martita run a lovely little camping area and have casitas to rent.

camping is 150 pesos per person
casitas are 350 pesos per person

The casitas all have their own bathrooms. One casita can sleep 5 people (1 double bed and 3 single beds) and the two other casitas can sleep 3 people (1 double bed and 1 single bed).

The camping area has a separate bathroom with showers. Photo with the flower curtains.

The town is sweet to walk around and the mines above are fun to explore. All is within walking distance.

Daniel and Martita are some of the most welcoming people we have met. We highly recommend stopping by for a night or two.

Another great stay. Always good to stop hear. Daniel tells us that starting in 2020 price will be 150 pesos/pers.

Very nice “campground” which is actually a big leveled space in the middle of a garden, full of cactus, flowers, trees, chicken...

The whole “Posada” is enclosed by a wall and the gates are close at night so it feels very safe - and the whole village, San Pedro de los Pozos also feels really safe.

The hosts, Daniel Father, Daniel Son and Marta are very sweet and friendly. They will help you with anything you need - they, for example, helped us organizing a guided tour to the mines.
Restrooms and shower are clean, water is hot once the boiler is on. There is free wifi even in the garden.

Except for some dogs barking at night, it is very quiet.

We stayed there for two nights and would definitely have stayed longer, since there is lots of things to discover around the village

We loved staying three nights at this place where Daniel and Martha live. The town is beautiful, with more dogs roaming around than people (be careful, you might fall in love with one) Quiet at night with friendly locals and beautiful bright stars above. Our two dogs enjoyed their yard and ran freely everywhere. 100pp

we don t sleep here because the village is very safe and quiet. You can sleep where you want in the village, every street is ok if it is plane ☺

Great spot for 100 peso per person per night. We hooked up to 15 amp using extension cord. Daniel the owner speaks more English than we expected. Very helpful. Walked to Cinco Senores. Paid the lady there 50 peso to allow us to take a self guided tour. Great! Fiesta in town in the afternoon. Good music food and beer. Our cat beat up one of the campground dogs and had the place to himself thereafter. dogs outside the campground can be noisy. Bit difficult getting the rig in. Needs patience.

Report Check-In

This place is wonderful. Great open space for dogs. The owners have dogs but they are super laid back. Showers are hot, bathrooms are very clean. The family is so sweet. They made it hard to leave.

A really nice campground in a nice little town. Stayed in our 21ft motorhome, had no problems getting here. Friendly, helpful people, big grassy area, good bathroom (seperate block now), decent wifi. Our dog loved to hang around in their garden and play with their three dogs. We visited the Santa Brigida mine with ‘Cinco Señores’ on the main square (walking distance): 150 pesos per person, 2.5h trip. Worth it!

Report Check-In

Had a great stay here. As the reviews state, Daniel and Martha (brother and sister) are very friendly. Very relaxing place to stay in our camper. There are two casitas you can rent as well. Spa right down the street if you want to treat yourself. Couldn’t find the free camping near the mines outside of the city. Happy to have stayed here with some amenities. Would definitely recommend.

Report Check-In

Really nice place, backyard with a lot of green area, clean, quiet, bathroom, hot shower and WiFi. Not big rig friendly, maybe 25 feet max. The owners, Daniel and Martha are very friendly and helpful.

Report Check-In

This is located conveniently for strolling to town. Feels like parking in the back yard of a friend. Owner is super friendly. Also rents nice little rooms with bathrooms (cuartos). There is an outdoor table area, electricity (sort of) and water (sort of). The bathroom is inside one of the rental rooms- luckily it's not rented right now.
Other post mentions camping at ruins- there is a lot of open desert space to camp in. But for 200p it felt nice to be closer to town, in a fenced yard and with some services.
Mineral de Pozos (aka San Pedro de Pozos) is a cute little old town on the verge of a growth spurt. Worth a stop to look around. We stayed two nights and loved it.

Report Check-In

As stated good place. Note that you can camp for free without amenities in the ruins outside of town. I did the first night and it was very peaceful and quiet.

Report Check-In

Paid 100 peso for one person in tent. Fairly large property with wifi and communal bathroom. Cabañas also available. The best and only option for camping in Pozos. Could fit in large vehicle or motorcycles too. Friendly owner. Shades area for campers.
