Totally fine in my 2WD sprinter van. Just don’t try to go down the crazy hill. The road will loop around

i made it down to the beach with my 30ft skoolie. would I recommend it? I mean, how confident of a driver are you and how are your brakes? it's a steep hill. but I did it. it's doable for sure, but I'm the ONLY larger vehicle. lots of vans, truck campers and jeeps. also the road coming from 158 is completely washed out and under swift water, so you have to come over the hill at this time
gets really busy on the weekends, which is not that fun... folks, just so you know, there are 3 more miles of roads if this is full. people come out here to find some peace and Solitude. I promise the road keeps going
Report Check-InPerfect spot to park for the night. Drove in with my RWD 170” Sprinter without issue. Had the place to ourselves as it was a chilly early November night. There is a sign on the way in listing camping rules, so it is an approved spot to camp. Beautiful lake and mountain views.
Report Check-InBest spot, rough road but acceptable in a RWD sprinter. Beautiful views.
Report Check-Ingreat spot, drove down to the beach with view of snow mountains even now. Bit bumpy but no 4x4 needed. Deer around & ospreys fishing.

Report Check-InLakeside camping as well as small pull off areas with scenic overlooks. There are signs for no camping in the roads leading up to the Lake, but the Lake area itself is allowed. Saw plenty of RTT and Vans take space over a period of 3 days - none of the State Park people cared.
