Lagoon is completely frozen at this time of year. It is also quite windy, but still beautiful. There were vicunas but no flamingos.

This road is absolutely breathtaking you should stop everywhere you can to enjoy the view. Did it on a sunny day so was spectacular.

For cyclist: we slept in this place. There is a mirador and downstairs there is a stone shelter from the wind (custom built from little stones). But it wasn't very windy in the night accually. Hidden from road and safe.
In the tent we noted temperature -8 at 6 am.

What a colorful place to see Vicuña! If you want to take a pic, get your camera ready and move slowly because they are skittish!
