Description

Great place right at the Similkameen river. Many places for all kind of vehicles or tents.
Use the forest road right outside east gate of EC Manning Provincial Park for less than 50m to the south, a parallel way brings you down to the river bed.

Fire pits at many places, you won't need a 4x4 but high clearance gives you more opportunities.

Cellular ok for some.

nice spot. can faintly hear the highway but I like it.

Report Check-In

great little spot. can choose between either forested area or river bank. was in a nice little private spot even with 3 other camper groups around. cell coverage was not great. would recommend going the 5 min south to the entrance of the park for good cell service than driving the 40 min back to Princeton. keep this place clean!

Report Check-In

Great space, there is a little steep road down to the river, so watch out RV or low clearance. Many fire pits.

Report Check-In

good spot on the river. fairly busy on the long weekend but still found a spot easily. bugs where not terrible which is a huge plus at this time of the year.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Right by the river, very quiet. There were some RVs when I arrived and it looks like someone live there at all time.
I could get some water from the river in the morning and get a quick clean up before taking the road again!

Report Check-In

Nice spot by the river, easy to access from the road, no need for 4whl. 2 campers were here when I arrived, and 2 more later that night, but there is plenty of space. Barely no noise from the road.

Not to far from a Canco gas station and from Manning PP.

Ha Ha Like Afton said better during the week. Arrived the day after Afton on the 2nd and these guys were on the party late. Hopefully they left on the Sunday, We stayed till Tuesday. This place is a Paradise. Got water from the river

This is a great spot but definitely avoid on the weekends if you’re looking for a quiet location. We arrived late on a Friday and there were 2 vehicles and about 7 full trailers & trucks. It was a real local brewhaha, they ran a generator late into the night that the river could not down out. But there was plenty of space for everyone, we went right to end of the rocky beach and got a little privacy.

Stayed one night at that place on a Saturday night under heavy rain. Even if the road to reach the place was quite narrow our 27 feet made it without any scratch. We had a lot of heavy rain during all the night but no issue to get out from the place. Lot of locals with ATV but we’re very quiet once the sun went down. Overall a very nice place to stay.

Report Check-In

Description as indicated. It wasn't busy, just a pickup with a small trailer by the river bed. Really close to highway 3. I was with a 20 ft van and could easily access the river bed even if I didn't go c

Report Check-In

Nice place with lots of space. Road isn't too bad.

If you want to explore a little and have some ground clearance, you can drive into the river and drive it up a little bit to get to a super secluded spot which is in the sun pretty much all day right next to the river. River is a little loud and it seems that the water is rising over night. Water didn't get to my tyres but it may vary on other days.

Spent one night here no issues whatsoever, really lovely spot! Probably about 5 other vehicles there as well.

Report Check-In

Was a great spot for visiting Manning Park. Lots of space and a nice river running beside it.

Report Check-In

On the surface, this is a fantastic spot. But when we arrived, it was covered with garbage and most of all used toilet paper and human waste. A large group of tenters on the beach were breaking all the Covid rules and happily adding to the mess. Campers from the previous night had left their fire smouldering.
We spoke to a local resident who came by in a hazmat outfit to clean up the mess. Current opinion is that the area is going to be taken over by the parks board and fenced off to keep boondockers out.
Let's try and get it together. Boondocking is difficult enough. Let's not make it worse by giving the authority reason to shut down more spots. Put out your fires properly, take your garbage with you and if you or your pet have to poop in the woods, at least bury it and all the paperwork too.

Great free camping spot, but very well known and busy. Especially on the weekend.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. 5-6 others camped here, lots of room for everyone. Caution driving onto the beach with a 2WD vehicle, it looks like solid gravel, but is quite soft. We got stuck! Oops.

Report Check-In

Beautiful spot. Several areas to camp, quite a few vehicles & people. Watch out for soft areas of gravel & sand by the river

Report Check-In

Soft spots on the beach, be careful to not get stuck! Otherwise it’s a great spot!! Close to Manning, to the highway but pretty quiet

Report Check-In

Great spot! Easy access for low clearance vehicles (during summer at least) and lots of space to park. There's more spots if you're staying in your van or camper, as the riverbed wouldn't be very comfortable in a tent.

Report Check-In

as described, very cool spot. Easy road, no stress, but I wouldn't reco driving to water if 2x2.

Report Check-In

Great spot on the river. Ended up getting pretty crowded. If you prefer more privacy it’s worth having a back up spot or going to a paid campsite. Also lots of mosquitos when there’s no wind. Do your due diligence and clean up after yourself. Was sad to see some big chunks of broken glass

Report Check-In

Thumbs up. Somebody even built a makeshift outhouse, but it's obviously not maintained. Very easy to reach from the highway but not too noisy.

Report Check-In

What a gorgeous huge area!
We're driving a 2005 Toyota Camry with very low clearance because of luggage and two kayaks on top of the car.

But we managed the small bumpy road(Upper Pasayten River Forest Service Road) with a few holes here and there by driving extremely slow. Luckily the road was dry and not muddy, otherwise we wouldn't have taken the chance.

Gorgeous landscape, no mosquitoes, lots of fire pits and indeed lots of space!
10/10 Recommend.

Awesome spot. Little bit uneven, need good vehicle clearance.

Report Check-In

Beautiful area with lots of places available. The road down is a bit bumpy but totally doable with a 2WD. We loved it! Please keep this place clean :)

Report Check-In

As described a great spot, right hand track as soon as you turn onto the forestry road, lots of spots especially onto the stones by the river, ground solid in most places. Few other campers here tonight. River lovely and refreshing. A few mozzies but not bad.

Report Check-In

Great spot(s). Easy access for all rigs. When you leave the highway, take after 50 metres already, at the fork, the narrower track on the right. After another 50 metres you are close to river where the spots are with enough space to manoeuvre

Report Check-In

À good place to stay on the night near the river. Before the bridge take the Road on your right and go down near the river. Many places
