Description

First campground in Yellowstone from the South entrance. Seems to be the one that fills up last. Beautiful setting, a lot of mosquitos. You drive the campground looking for a spot without a ticket on the numbered posts. Pit toilets and water available. Every spot has a picnic table and fire pit. One of the smaller campgrounds in Yellowstone.

Super camping. Nous avons pu trouver un emplacement le soir en arrivant pour 20$. Dans la forêt, possibilité de faire un feu de camp.

Report Check-In

Booked here for 3 nights by being fast on recreation.gov two weeks before arriving. The camping itself is basic but is NPS cozy. Everything in Yellowstone is a relatively far drive from here.

Small national park campground with., Fire rings, Tables, and Pit toilets. Neighbors are close and most sites are not level. The campground is open. Cost is $20 bucks ($10 bucks if you have the senior pass). We arrived there just before 5:00 pm and found someone had just cancelled so we were able to pickup a night on an otherwise no-vacancy campground.

10/25/21 arrived about 5pm. Two other rigs besides us. By about 7:30 a total of 8. Nice sites not close together. No generators allowed. Glad I had a percolator. Snowed about 2” overnight. Quiet.

Report Check-In

Several campsites still open when we arrived on a Sunday night at 5PM in late July. Camp hosts onsite. No cell service whatsoever.

First come first serve campsite in Yellowstone National Park. Got here on a Monday morning during peak season and there was a surprising number of sites open, $20 a night. I always thought camping in the park was near impossible without a reservation, so this was a very nice surprise.

First come first serve camping
Pit toilets
Every camp site has big bear box fire ring and picnic table
We got here a little after 8am Nd still plenty of spots open.

Report Check-In

Arrived 10am and lucky a few spots still available. Was full by afternoon. (All other campgrounds fill fast, usually by morning this time of year) $15pn. Nice area only 15 minutes from nearby store/visitor centre etc. NO GEN use however, my neighbours clearly didn’t read the sign and of course camp host was off duty that night.. but otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

Report Check-In

Nice spot with pit toilets, cold water, and close water access to Lewis lake. Sign says no vehicles over 25ft.

Report Check-In

Nice sites under trees. Not very busy in October.

Report Check-In

Campsite in the national park, south entrance. Generators not authorised (yeah) and only pit toilets. Nice camp! 15 dollar a night.
