Description

Coming from Altamira, the asphalt ends here. The road up to there is in good condition, some sections are newly tarred. But in between there are big potholes, so always drive carefully.
From here on it continues on unpaved road until you reach Uruará, where there is a fork (we chose the "smaller" road, so we can't say anything about the conditions of the road via Rurópolis). This road is partly in good condition, but some sections are very hard to drive because of big bumps. In the dry season it is well doable, even for not off-road vehicles, just drive slowly and carefully. For the way to Ururá - 100km - we needed about 3h with our Citroen Jumper (Fiat Ducato).

Latest Check-Ins

No tenía huecos profundos.

ENGLISH: We did this route in July 2024 and it was ok, we have 4x4 but I think that in dry season any car can drive the 230 from medicilandia to Uruara. We were tired of waiting for the boat in Belén so we decided to drive from Belén to Santarem and we were scared of this route. Let me tell you that: you can do it! :) (In dry season that goes from July to December, dont know rainy season). The only sad thing is deforestation:(.

Report Check-In

Asphalt still ends here, its dirt road after, some sections are ok some are bad but doable with any vehicle during dry season. During wet season or after heavy rain it can be really muddy.

Report Check-In
