Start/End Asphalt | Warning

The road is still under construction, but there are only 30kms of gravel road between Uruará and Santarem. This is still the Best option to go in and out of Santarem. Beautiful road but with a lot of deforestation:(. We did it in dry season. I think in a year or so all of this route will be asphalted.

Esta es la mejor ruta para ir desde Uruarua hasta Santarem o al revés. A nosotros nos tocaron 30kms de ripio pero esto cambia todos los días ya que la están asfaltando. El ripio que nos tocó está en perfecto estado. Solo hay que manejar despacio por el polvo. Muy linda la ruta (más que la 230), porque no tiene tanta deforestación.

There is a section done coming from uruara so about 50km is left to be done. When its dry its suitable for any vehicle, but if its raining or during wet season i would not recommend unless you have 4x4 and appropriate recovery gear because it can get very muddy.

The PA-370, connecting road between Ururá and Santarém is currently under construction.
At this point the asphalt ends/starts. (as of August 2023)
The gravel road is partly in good condition, partly in very bad condition. It has some places with very large holes. In some places, however, the road is already prepared for asphalting.
However, it is a very beautiful route, since, in contrast to the Transamazônica, there is still a lot of dense forest to the right and left of the road.
During the dry season it is feasible also for not off-road vehicles, just plan enough time for the route from/to Santarém.

Please update the status of the road in the comments as PA-370 is under construction. The goal is to asphalt the whole road from Ururá to Santarém.
