Lovely campground right on Lake St. George but next to Route 3 which in a hillside above. There's no escaping the road noise but it's a gorgeous spot.

Lovely campground right on Lake St. George - sort of loud because it's so close to Rt. 3 but worth it! Waterfront campsites are gorgeous but aren't solar or Starlink friendly so we stayed in site 26 in a big open area only another 20 feet from the lake. 10/10
Report Check-Insmall state park next to the road. not too noisy. nice lake. no hookups. they do have a dump station for a fee.
Report Check-InThe route 3 noise is prevalent (I’m in site 9, adjacent the road). Bath house is pretty archaic, but hot water shower (must keep pushing the button), sink, and toilet in each bathroom. The lake is pretty—probably the quietest sites. Dry camping—no water or electric. Longer walk to bath house if you choose the sites at the end of the loop. On a scale of 1-5 I’d give it a 2+ rating.

Report Check-InI must first say if you have a tent DO NOT CAMP HERE! While the park is large and wooded, the campground is a 4 row sliver pressed between the lake edge and busy Route 3 which is cut in a hillside above. This means NO ONE escapes the road noise but during the night Vans and RVs can close up and block some of the noise. While there are water front and field sites with space, the cluster of sites near the Bathhouse are so close that no one has any privacy. Most of the campers are just locals wanting to play in the lake. They trashed the place so bad that the shower house was closed due to backed up sewage when we got up in the morning.
