Tanzania
Cool ambiance and many food stalls serving allot of different dishes from small pizzas to seafood. The sea as a backdrop, a must in Zanzibar.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
I visit this market and found very good. If you are Indian you feel like chowpati in mumbai
Report Check-InOk. The scam is, you arrive at a food stall and someone starts to “help” you pick out some food, find you a place to eat, get you a drink. This guy is a TOUT, and after your meal tells you it cost 57,000 TSH instead of the 10-15 or whatever it should be. His friends will hassle you, and even get “security” to hassle. They will point at the wrong prices on the menu if you ask to see the prices.
NEVER agree to food unless you have been told the price in total. Just because someone has a chefs hat on doesn’t mean they are a food seller! 😂
Report Check-InIt has been said below but we missed it... Be super careful with the prices there. We got screwed when they asked us to paid, after we ate, 40 usd for 2 plates + drinks... And that was the price after some rude and unpleasant negociations... Very unfair for some street food when prices in restaurants are much lower. We did the mistake and we lost that time. Good food though!
Report Check-InGreat food! Had the pizza from Mr Mango and a plate from one of many similar stalls. The waiters will offer to get you beers even though it’s not allowed in public. Open daily from roughly 6-10pm.
Report Check-InGood place to grab some food and watch the sunset. Always agree on the price first! Prices can be crazy for what you get so be ready to bargain. Recommend the soup from the friendly ladies in the beginning of the market (north), nice and fair price!
